My RX* is a POS
I have a 2004 RX8 that has to be the sorriest POS I have ever owned. It breaks down weekly with the flooding problem and Mazda's response is "we will replace the plugs" - this doesn't cure the problem, it only cures the symptoms.
What a loser Mazda is...I have driven RX-7 and RX-8s since 1985 - NEVER again will I own or even look at a Zoom-Zoom POS. Bob |

He must be ignorant or something if he floods his car weekly...!!!!
I mean come on.....Is it really that hard to follow a simple procedure? But maybe you guys are right... HE DOESN"T EVEN DESERVE THE 8. |
Show cars.....
When I was in the army, I used to own old Corvairs, now THEY are a piece of junk!
.....but I've never flooded my '8 in three years. S |
Now if you want to own a real POS then buy yourself a Civic. (I know because I owned one)
If you own a Goldwing then you probably are used to driving slowly to the nearest donut shop and posing there with you chrome laden touring bike and then driving slowly home. Driving an RX8 that way is bad. :bottom: Sell the '8 to someone who will appreciate it. |
I have never flooded my car since the car first came out. You must be one lucky son of a b*tch to flood it weekly. You should go buy a lottery ticket. I think you will win.
|
On the other hand though, we are a group of enthusiast that love our 8 and try to always make sure it is performing at its best. I think that the masses out there that own the vehicle and not knowing th nuiances with what we know, do go through the problems quite regularly. I befriended my mazda dealership's technician (he performs work on my vehicle outside the dealership) and the flooding issue is a very broad problem, especially with those that are not in the know or spend time driving the car like it should be driven. Seems the dealerships are not greatly motivated to educate the owners of the resolution to the problems and since these are owners that don't read the manual or TSB letters from Mazda. What a great way to keep business coming in to the service bay; hmmm, you know of a problem, don't let the customer know about it, have them bring in the vehicle, make more money on the MFG for service ..... Capitalism at its best !

well i used to own a rx-8, i wouldnt say thier POS... but i would say they deffinatly have thier fair share of problems. horrible mpg, flooding, mine was in the shop way too much.
but your just a retard making a thread like this. |

Here, let me help you out the next time your car floods: Step 1: open hood, on the lower right side under the hood there is a little black box. Take the lid off. Step 2: look on the inside of the box for a fuse that says fuel pump (should be 20A and green) pull it out with little tweezers in the box Step 3: Start the car and keep cranking it until it starts (should run a little without the fuel pump working) Step 4: Once the car starts then stops, put back fuel pump fuse and start the car as you normally would. Step 5: Drive your sorry ass to a dealership and get rid of the car because you a are discrace to the rotary and mazda community. Step 6: Buy a civic ( I think mugen makes a can of bees you can attach to the back) |

This one works better. Do this next time it floods
Step one, open mouth. Step two, insert gun into open mouth. Step three, pull trigger. :MissileSm |
this threat should be closed
