wow it's acutally happening this time.

i think it's awesome. probably won't handle as well, but who cares? lot of us are guilty of pounding it on the freeways anyway.

are you going to be beefening the rear end at all?

If anything with pistons is going into my RX, it's going to be a LSx V8...

The 2JZ motor is really close to the firewall, I don't know if a LSx engine would be able to fit without either cutting or modifying the front crossmember or the firewall. It would be nice for me to have an LS1 in my car though.

by ripping out the rotary and putting in a 2jz you're proving them correct, cool swap non the less

I'm guessing you've never seen an LS1. They're shorter and lighter than a 2JZ-GTE.

Nice, this has also been done on a rx7 with the supra motor in it on a episode on Hi-Rev Tuners where they showed some guys 7 on the track, and they popped the hood where da 2jz-gte supra engine was in there and Super street also did it back on a 94 issue on a yellow one, but this is the first i have heard of it in a 8, im sure with the correct amount of funds you can get any engine to fit in any car but after that its not really a true rotary anymore, im sure everyone would like to see pics and updates on your progress to this if you fully intend on going foward, good luck.

The guys who built the yellow 2jz RX7 are total ignorant and arrogant ********... Don't know if you saw one of the vids where they interviewed them.
