Where did you have your intercooler located? Do you have an upgraded radiator?

If you had a "built" 13B last only 5 days I would demand my money back from that engine builder. No way in hell was the engine built right and/or tuned properly. I;m sorry but there are a bunch of 3rd Gen FD owners generating 500-rwhp out of their cars and they last much longer than 5 days.

Like others have pointed out, you are going to destroy your rear end unless you've upgraded that, bend control arms, and snap axles. We know because others have swapped 20B's in the 8 pushing over 800-rwhp and this stuff has happened.

For the time, money, and frustrations, it would have been 10000000 times easier to simply buy a MkIV Supra and hot rod it.

You should have looked into a V-mount and any good 13-b RE or REW builder should have known to put one in. Blocking the radiator is a big no no. And you didn't upgrade the oil coolers either? If you were having troubles with keeping the engine cool why didn't you do any of these things to keep from running so hot?

that car's going to handle like a grocery cart. The weight of that big six on the front axle, sticking out past the front wheels, will set the weight balance at like 70% 30% rather than the 51/49 balance of the RX-8 with the rotary. The rear will be too light and therefore will be a festival of wheelspin and axlehop and the front will plow like an state-highway Oshkosh truck in a blizzard.

So, hey, congrats on the swap. Oughta be great when you and your other over-compensating friends all flop your schwanzes out on a dyno day.

Too bad someone already has the exclusive rights to axles from Drive Shaft Shop, so if they sold you a pair that's copyright infringement

As far as the handling goes, I think we can assume since he's complaining about being beaten by SRT-4's that he's really not too concerned with anything else than going in a straight line?

As far as the wheel hop and spin go, oh god yes.

Nicely done. 70% 30%. It bet it'll hit 71% 29%. No doubt, its going to flip end over end. Death trap in the making.

Well, maybe. I'm not expert on those engines, just how much more could it weigh?

If it doesn't weigh that much more it's only change the center of gravity in the car, which will make it handle worse, but if the engine doesn't way much, the little bit more it sticks out probably won't account for a 20% change in the weight distribution.

i think the renny weighs 300-400 fully dressed. the 2jz with turbo and all those other goodies has to be quite a bit more than that.

[QUOTE=2jz- rx8;2151220]I own a Acura NSX, BMW 745 and Porsche Cayenne but my favorite is my RX-8 so I know where your coming from. I just couldn't deal with constant engine failures and various other problems associated with the turbo kit. Plus the dealer void my warranty so there was no turning back. This build is not to let people really know out on the street what I have in it, but its to go out there and take down everybody who thinks the RX-8 is a joke and leave them wondering "what happened"?

I'm sorry but i got tired of those SRT-4s taking me.[/QUOTE

Remove the rotary engine out, it is no longer an RX8.

I was being facetious. There is no way that 200lbs difference in engine weight will result in a weight distribution of 70% 30%

Even the most unevenly balanced cars aren't 70-30.

2JZ-GTE Alone 594 lbs
+ Getrag Six Speed 746lbs
