It's a good job she's prergnant, I'm sure that had something to do with it. If I'd walked in there they wouldn't have ordered anything. I'm starting think that it's a really good thing pregnancy doesn't last longer. Anyone will bend over backwards for a pregnant woman, they'd rule the world.

Speaking of which, was there anything you needed from the store dear?

Unhappy ut oh

Uhm, so...

In getting the REVi out of the car, there was some pushing and pulling involved. Unfortunately with everything at the front being shoved back 3-6 inches, they ended up having to push the bell crown assembly into the airbox itself, see pic below.

This is not good. The assembly has a rubber lip, that gets sandwiched between the blue metal ring and the airbox. To clean the filter you remove the ring and pull out the filter/crown assembly. At no point are you supposed to shove it in. Lissa and I struggled with it for a good 15 minutes (and then again after calling RB). We got it on the second attempt, with a bit of "help" from the dog... and in the process ended up bending it a bit.

So what do you guy think? New filter? Or is it acceptable in that condition? Racing Beat recommended I buy a new one, but I can't afford it right now. I was thinking of installing it for now and replacing the filter/crown at a later date.

I think it will at least be better performance than stock, but less than a perfect filter. That's my gut, or is it that little cheap guy inside me who's reeling from buying a new car so soon...?

IMHO, If there are no tears, I would use it until i could afford a new one. If you decide you question it's ability to keep contaminants out, I would not hesitate to protect my expensive engine first. If you want, I have a "Green Filter" I'll sell you for $50 (shipped). I used it for a month before I purchased my REVI. It's like new. That can hold you over till you can afford the real deal.
