ON Old Lurker, Not so New Owner... About Time for an Intro, Eh

So I made one of these intro things a while back, but before I could click 'post' it got eaten by the voodoo magic of page refresh errors and at the time I cba to re-write the damned thing all over again... But it's long overdue so here it goes...

I should probably mention that I've been lurking on RX8Club Forums way back since I got my own first laptop and most of the 8 owners/forum members on here were getting into their first shiny new RX-8s. I liked reading all the new and interesting things that came up and seeing the numerous pictures of the car. I come from a car family where I grew up smelling the oil and exhaust fumes running around in our garage; the RX-8 was the first car I wanted (besides the McLaren F1 and Jaguar XJ220) that I could really afford, until I saw the RX-7 FD that is...

Blah blah blah, fast forwarding to now; I've been the perpetually giddy owner of a Ti Grey '04 MT RX-8 GT for over two years now. I drive 392 Hemis and supercharged Hellcats for a living and I still crack a grin every time I get back into my 8 at the end of the day.

The car itself has it's far share of little niggling things that still need fixing (center console latches, torn splash shields, and broken ashtrays hah); I'm just behind on discovering these, not being the first owner and all. It's got 163,000 km on the chassis as of now (almost 30,000 of those put on by me, yes it's my daily). Second motor was put in by Mazda in 2011, so it only had 5000 km on it when it came to me. Just went through the fun process of getting a slightly beefier new AGM battery, the BHR ignition kit, and a S2 starter will be going in very soon to complete that combination. I look forward to spiraling into even more debt making more improvements as I go along. Probably going to try tackling the noisy air pump bearings (as soon as I can find my old inline skates) and the faulty coolant sensor next...

P.S. Someone tell me if I need to re-size the pics, they seem to auto re-size anyways...

Cheers o/
