Oh yeah... and unless I got stuck in some parallel universe of conversions... I think the meet is "This" week. You'll have a hard time finding me up there "next" week!

If there are to be any shenanigans, then I am not going! I deal with enough Terd heads at my job... I am not about to travel 5 hours to get even more stressed.

The construction paper will help to use the dyno sheets more effectively but I need scissors and not glue stick because it won't get me high.

Actually, Pat, now that I think about it I won't need any paper either. I regular ruler/straightedge will do just fine.
Ray I think that holds true like you said, only if the pressure vs temp curve remains linear, which means you need to get rid of the extra heat with ic or whatever.

BTW, quit fooling around in the East and come out West! LOL, love that Lucinda cd which tells you I'm older than dirt.

I had a surprise visit from someone from Florida (promised I would not say who)while I am on vacation. He has since left and I will not be home until tomorrow so I'll let everyone know what's up after I get to see/drive the car.

No where did I mention his name (as promised).

I'm having fun - found a couple of ghost towns I haven't seen, roads that don't show on the map that go nowhere, mountain towns that are still in another era - Nancy found a video poker machine she never played - The motor home is running great the snow finally melted, the jeep and motor home are mud *****. Now I've seen Nevada from corner to corner. You'd like it up there, so lightly populated that they allow the cows to vote. Next year we will see the rest of Utah (I may have to carry a video poker machine for Nancy). The only thing I miss is the 8.

I have been to GA several times, beautiful state and anywhere that uses granite for curbs has got class. Got a fetish for Peach Tree though

In Nevada you can get drive on a highway and never see another human being for 4 hours and not have a trooper hiding behind every curve. Herds of Elk, deer and wild horses. Only one place to ruin everything - Vegas. Well it's done well by me so I guess it's a necessary evil. Every one visits Vegas, come and I will show you the real Nevada (in between slot pulls).

With the stage II dyno, are there any other mods? Mid-pipe/cat-back? Not that it makes a big deal, but if not, with a cat-back you would be running more than 100hp over stock, not bad...should give it to car and driver since the RX-8 is "100hp short of being perfect," according to them.

I have a set of underdrive pulleys, would I be able to retain these with this pettit kit?

Yes, Your Pulleys should work fine. If you are going to purchase a kit, speak with Cam about your Pulley Specs and he will confirm fit with the s/c pulleys.

Also if you note the Dynos end at about 8100 RPM there is still a bit more umpf that could be grabbed. Not showing so it does not really matter though.

looks good---one question--a dyno on a stock rx8 that shows 175hp and a stop of before 8K?
175hp is too low--the torque the graph shows is Ok--not great but OK, did you change out your plugs/coils etc when you installed the kit also?
another question---does a midpipe add anything with the kit other than sound?
and the question about the undrive pulley---you may not want to underdrive the water pump after you add FI to this engine.

That is impressive; more impressive to me is that it is run with the reflash and stock ECU. I spoke with Cam about a kit this week and talked about the IntX vs stock EMU; I'm waiting until he's happy with the reflash; the dyno looks good, so next is drivability. Rock on, Pettit.

I beg to differ on that point - none of the dynos for this kit go over 8k - why is this ? will the engine explode if taken that high or what ?

I can't answer why they do that, but I do know that my rev limiter is now set at 8500.

interesting . I think if they just were to come out and say why they do that I would have no problem with it . Just seems funny to me that they don't seem to want to explain it .
