Far from close. Just taken this long to get where I'm at cause I only get 2-3 hours a night most nights I'm sitting on a box with a beer starring and plotting. Or wire wheeling bolt heads.

Finally finished my rear end and its in the car. Though I got a little excited and forgot to put the coilovers on before I jacked it up into the car. Oops! Easy to slap them in, but it got late.

Ok thanks. I need to figure out which ones to get and why. I have no clue about what makes a good suspension. I've been reading a lot lately and everyone seems to think that their's is the best and all others are crap. Or the only reason they get a new suspension is because of how low it can go so it will look cool so that doesn't help me out at all

I have three in mind right now Koni, Tein, and Bilstein, but that's probably more name recognition/advertising than actually if they are a good product.

Brad, the LSX FD is looking great. I went up to the car show in Monroe over the weekend and saw a lot of V8 swaps. I've been researching a little bit on the LSX swaps. I'm gonna have to pick your brain next time I see you ;-)

TankerG, I recommend asking that one fellow from Canada we met at the Dicks meet. He seemed to know quite a bit on suspension setups for the Rx8.

Just forget the idea of an LSX rx8. Unless your pockets run deep. FC and FD; few kits out there to make life easy.

It is my dd and I track about 5 times a year. Since I am replacing the suspension I might as well upgrade with the track in mind. The ones i've been looking at are around 1500 like the Bilstein PSS9s. I just don't know how to read spring rate numbers and what they mean and what to look for in comparison.

just tinkering with the idea. I either build a FD or buy a Porsche 911 turbo in the future. My wife prefers the 911 over the FD but we have to buy a SUV next year first. Stuck between the Range Rover or Mercedes GL....

Tanker, a buddy of mine used to be in a racing team so if you can narrow your search between a few I can ask him for his opinion on them.

I think Dan was directing that question towards Scott and his suspension needs :P

FD chassis and about 10k will get you a nice 400whp FD. Providing you do most of the work yourself.
