Picked up ratchet and clank: all 4 one PS3 cause it was $20 at best buy. Been co op with Angela and its a lot of fun. Anyone else have it?

Or anyone know of another fun laid back game you can co op in (non split screen)? No FPS/shooters.

I am scared I will turn into an MMO addic so I stay away from them, I play things like mass effect, skyrim, rachet and clank, assessins creed, etc

lost interest in FPS a while ago too.

So today I change the oil and filter on my 2005 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo, which we got this summer for my wife. I got 10w30 royal purple which I use on my Sx4. Now I had a very hard time taking the oil plug out, I believe they toque it. Last oil change was done at a jeep dealer. I also read online at the jeep forum that they use air guns went they do oil changes. Thank god I did not mess the plug as its only a 14mm, which I found strange, but it is the factory one. Some people do change it to a 15mm or 16mm.

The Rx8 will get the royal treatment on the next oil change!!!

I think my Rx8 has finally hit the wall. The input shaft bearing is making a ton of noise, I have a slight judder from the rear tires when cornering at low speed and to top it all off the engine is making a chirping/whining noise which is RPM dependant. I think one of the rotors got off-balanced some how and now are scraping against the housings. It did get to 68700 miles atleast!

So questions, has anyone locally ever done a transmission and engine rebuild for the rx8? If so is there anyone who can assist me? If not, can you guys reccomend somewhere where I can pay to get it rebuilt? I love the car and I would hate to sell it for a loss :C

Also if someone knows where to purchase or rent a rotary compression tester (not needle), that would also be helpful.

Nemesis8 has a tester and so do I....Might be able to help you test it to see whats up.

It is unlikely that the noise you are hearing is the rotors rubbing ...that would only happen once and you would be walking. Your transmission could be having problems, or your clutch....and the diff could be acting up for the shuddering noise....but it could be a lot of different things.

What has been done for maintenance work?.....still on original clutch?....

There is a differential lubricant that can be added to get rid of the shuddering in the diff.

Very minimal, mostly just routine maintenance. Oil has been changed every 3-5k miles with Castrol GTX 5w-20, oil filters are always Mazda OEM or Wix. Transmission fluid and diff fluid were changed with 75w-90 Royal Purple gear oil at 47k miles. Otherwise original transmission, original clutch, even original tyres! No modifications on the car other than oil pressure gauge.

Some more diagnostic information: No error codes, no CEL, slight loss of power and slight hesitation on warm starts but only by comparison with how the car was at 40k miles. On cold start the car will feel like its misfiring, infrequent, usually only between 1-3k RPM under load (5th gear uphill).

Also rattling noise from engine compartment when under light throttle. It is not the "ball bearings in can" noise associated with coolant flow through the heater core at high RPMs. Someone told me it could be a bad motor mount that is causing the engine/transmission housing to vibrate against a support? In addition, I've noticed a slight increase in engine noise, possible exhaust leak near the catalytic converter?

I don't feel the clutch slip ever and other than the warning lights for low coolant (bad sensor) and low brake fluid level (needs new pads soon) I have no other diagnostic information to go on.

If you have the compression tester, and don't mind helping me use it I'd be more than glad to pay you back for your time. Right now though I have a few projects to finish for school and work before I can take a look at the car properly. I will probably get to it this Friday, but I just wanted to see if anyone could give me some advice :P

Thanks as always!

Could have a bad cat hints the loss in power and gaskets could be dead.

5th gear up hill and you're in the 1-3k rpm range? Down shift :p
