bad detonation, on the limits of my tune, the wastegate line blew off. Both housing, both rotors are toast.

I was really hoping to make one more trip over to seattle in the rx8 before winter.

Rawrx8, your Project is going to be super cool, I am doing some work on an FD and looking at the engine bay without the radiator and stuff, I can see why the lsx swap is so popular there is so much room.

Ive just been reading every moment for what exact application I want to do. Boils down to; what I want the car to do and how much im willing to spend. I could easily spend $10,000 on a stroked LS2 without batting an eye. Im leaning right now to a LS1/2 cam, fast intake, valve train upgrades and headers. Maybe after I get bored ill look into some Air Flow Research heads and/or jumping compression. Than now looking into putting a Ford 8.8 rear dif to handle the punishment. BBK to allow the car to actually stop. I have a list bigger than Santa's naughty or nice list.

Its going to be a while before something major happens. Like I said even when I do make progress I wont be posting a build thread till the car is complete. Ill keep small updates but you'll have to come by and see it in person.

Ill be holding back prob for 1 year. Boeing contract expires next sept so I want to keep myself financially safe if we end up on strike for a long period of time. Hope it doesnt happen and 50:50 atm. Big orders are in, IE; Gov't Tanker for 767 which im on AND 787 going to ANA in 5 days.

So I dont know. Ive literally had a really (had to come back and add that) bad year. Even though this isnt a GTR, im a lot more happy with it. Lots of time to think about my build to make it subtle.
