did you pay the 15.9 for it or did you get to bring it down????

 

they wouldnt budge on it. well they knocked like $100 off. i did get them to double the trade in on my pos neon (to a wopping $200) and i got a killer rate for a first time buyer (8.2% down from 18%). all in all i think i did pretty good

yeah my friend brought his speed3 for koons you basically pay sticker price there and sometimes they give you a little more for your trade.....

but congrats i am in owings mills so you are not that far from me we should meet up for sure once i get my new 8

 

thanks id love to make it out but i cant promise anything, i work weird shifts. i was actually lookin at a speed 3. my best friend works at champion mazda in hanover, pa and they got one in but it was sold barely after i knew about it. yea 04mt_jac we should. not onlt do i not know anybody with an 8 i cant even recall the last time i saw one on the road haa haa

yeah i just started to notice them around the 795 corridor but i can pinpoint them a white one, two winning blues, and it a black one with i think is the veilside bodykit i just started seeing that one first all the way out white marsh and then i saw it on liberty rd which was weird and now i will lookout for you lol

Hey guys. Hopeful new 8 owner. I live in north east B-more but commute to owings mills, Bel Air and Hunt Valley very regularly, among others.

I have a bunch of prospects lined up for test drives this weekend. Wish me luck!

Also, I just found this one for sale. It's fully stocked and the previous owner says he's done professional install on everything. He notes in craigslist that the power steering is broken, and that it would take around 850 to fix it. This car has everything I am looking for, and is winning blue! Let me know what you guys think!

i was wondering why that price was so low, then i read about that the power steering is out, i would question what else may be wrong with the car but under 50k miles and the price is under 10k its a steal

glad to see more and more 8 owners coming out of the woodworks

 

Hey Emzloh, that looks like a nice 8 at a nice price.

You may be able to pick up a power steering module for way less than that on here; there are a number of part-out threads in the for-sale section. I'd ask to see the paperwork from the dealer to confirm it's just the module.

Also, find out if the engine has been replaced (paperwork proof!). If it hasn't, take it to a dealer and have a compression check done to make sure it's OK, that all recalls have been done, and that the ECU has the latest flash program. Some 2004's had problems with the engine because of the EPA.

Beyond that, read through the list of TSBs at Finish Line Performance, and look through any "buyer's guide" threads that might be here on the forum.

Hopefully all is well and you get an 8!

So in case you guys haven't bothered to figure it out. That is VmanX's 8 that I posted. He's not back in town till the 20th so I won't see it until then.

In the mean time I am checking out other cars.

I already looked at this one. Was very clean. It was very tight when driving, and I drove it like a pro through a thunderstorm with 4 people in the car.

All three look like pretty good choices. I'd still get a compression check on any 04 and thoroughly scrutinize records of any other year. Good luck!

 

I have pulled carfax reports on all. They are pretty clean for the most part. Friday has been in a fender bender where airbags did not deploy. Gonna check the frame and see if there are any door gaps etc.
