Contact Sandy over at Montrose Mazda over on Brookpark Rd in Cleveland. Let her know you are a member of the Cleveland 8 club and she should take care of you. There HAS to be a part number for it somewhere.

Thanks again to Jon and Josh for coming down and working on the donor and mostly my car this time!

Compression numbers are soon to be finalized!

Mine is on, but it's on because my car is only 2" off the ground and I have the front one disconnected from the lower control arm.

Also, got my 8 safely from Massillon to Megan's house in Cleveland this past Saturday. Spent 6 hours on Sunday washing, claybaring, washing, waxing, washing, and polishing the car. She's smoother than a babies butt right now and shining like I've never seen her shine before.

Phase one, complete.

I meant to respond to this also...

If you want the heat shielding for your hood, Jon and I pulled it off the donor yesterday... its in, umm, "poor" condition, but still in one piece, you would need to get creative with how to mount it to your hood though. But like I said, you're welcome to have it.

Nope, not yet. And to be honest I may not have the time to do it. With the entire interior needing cleaned and a few other things that need taken care of, I may just say screw it and just wipe the brake dust off of them and hope they clean up.

I'm more concerned with the impending snow storm that I keep hearing about and potentially having to line up a truck and trailer for Friday morning.

I took my front one off in the fall to rebuild it and it was just a little box of corrosion, and the connectors corroded off IN the connector plug. My lights are fine (maybe aiming a little low) but I hate having that light on. Speaking of lights.....

My CEL came on on the way to school this morning. Now that I have a working front O2 sensor it knows there is no CAT! That's a CEL I can live with

I'm still shocked you were able to reach that clip for the front o2 sensor. . .

Throwing this over here since we pretty much combine groups anyway..

Anyone interested in the autoshow as a group maybe? I posted up on the 6club with a poll for the best date/time that works for everyone and we'll choose based on that most likely. I *may* be able to get the discount tickets from a dealer, but I can't guarentee that I'll score anything being so close to the event. Anyone interested feel free to post up here or on c6c, here's a link to follow for more info too:

We've been talking to a number of people but haven't gotten any definites for tickets. But I figured I'd throw this out so we can get the group together nonetheless.. Still waiting on a callback from Montrose westside, but like I said I don't want to make any promises that I'll have anything until I know for sure. But I'd rather get this out so we can make arrangements for the group to go together since it's been awhile for a meet

^^^I'm still waiting to hear back about it. A lot of the dealers that I know that get tickets to give out haven't received them yet, and haven't got a count of how many they are going to get.

That's why I didn't make a promise that I couldn't keep as has happened in the past with other instances from other people. I just said I am trying to work something out

If I manage to get some though I will be sure to hand them out accordingly. I'm hoping to hear something back either today or tomorrow.

Which weekend are you thinking of going? This weekend or next? No idea if I can swing either but would love to get up there at some point to see what's what.

Still deciding over on 6club... there's a vote up there. Based on that and what kind of interest pops up here will be the decision maker for that. Either weekend could work I'm sure.

Thanks for the offer wheellee. I will check with Sandy, then check a hardware store. As you mentioned, they look pretty simple, so I should probably be able to come up with something myself. I'm sure I'm making a bigger deal out of this than it really is.

Very jealous. Yesterday's rain showed me how little wax I have left on mine. Fortunately, my dad got tired of me taking his porter cable buffer, so he got me one for x'mas. Anyone can stop by fairlawn for a detailing when the weather improved. ShinkaRex - I still owe you a detailing from the work you helped me with last spring.

For any of you detailers, here is a good site for tips and products. These guys are pretty hardcore.

^^^You should have seen it. The paint literally sucked all of the first coat of wax right into it. I barely had to buff any dried wax off. Now she's got a couple healthy coats of Zaino on her though, so she'll probably be good for the next couple months.

It needed it too, considering where I work is like a fallout zone

Leaving it uncovered probably didn't help its cause, either.
