Wasn't me driving by... my car is still torn apart.
While trying to insert a bolt for the SSV valve, it dropped into the abyss.
I'm now removing the upper intake manifold just to reach it.
Needless to say, removing the SSV valve without pulling the motor is not a good idea.
I'm free Friday if you want install it then.
At least you'll have it ready for Saturday and can let others drive it if you want.

That's cool because I work until Friday morning so we won't meet until later on.
And Fox8 weather is showing possible T-storms Saturday.
So much for the cookout (unless the weather changes by then).

Party? I'm just hoping to have my 52" TV running by then.
The bulb blew on it last night and I have to call the warranty company when they open.
I'm about to add coolant and verify my car runs without leaks.

Just took the car out. No leaks anywhere.
I might have to top off a little more coolant before my next trip, but it went well.
I only drained the radiator, not the engine so it wasn't too bad.
AND after talking to a foreigner I could hardly understand, I have a service guy coming Thursday to replace the bulb in my DLP.
I have this tiny 32" LCD in its place and it looks so weird.
Oh well... I can survive a couple days without it.
Its late... time for bed...

^ I don't own a TV. We have one in the house... a 22 inch tube. TV just holds you back. DVR, on the other hand, is splendid.
I'm not Amish though, I do have a projector for an 84in old school nintendo picture. The pixels are the size of post-it notes.
Jon: You feeling limber to come down sometime in the next few months and look over this Bronco? Could be a learning experience for both of us. I tore out all the rear carpet and found some small holes in the floor panel. Grind it down and patch it before putting in a paint-in bed liner. Want to work on your welding skills??
The real issue that I know nothing about is the front end: wheels bearings, ball joints, hubs, etc. Basically do get under the front and inspect which component of the front drive line is going break first. I got one of the shop manuals with the truck and its worthless. Its written for someone that knows what they're doing. I am going to the junk yard in the next few days to buy some parts that fell off or were stolen by homies.

Apparently I can't pause from posting/browsing to take a 5 minute long phone call without it kicking me off.TJ, I had a really long winded post typed up, but the forum sucks so here's the basics:
My month is pretty shot as of right now, but I can put your springs on on the 18th. It's really my only free day this month that I can do it. It's going to be about a 3-4 hour job, and I potentially could get it done on a weeknight (which ironically all of them are pretty much free) but I'd rather do it on a weekend so I know I'm not pressed for time.
I would say this weekend but that's the meet over in Mentor on Saturday, and Sunday I have to fix a bunch of crap on Megans car over at her place.
If the 18th is cool with you, then lets plan on that. I can shoot you my address so you can find your way down here.
I didn't break it this time!!! The dealership that put my springs on forgot a couple parts and now we're replacing/fixing etc. That's the jist of it at least. Then there are the endlinks that were put on by the last owner that don't fit right and need replacing badly. Just standard fukus maintenance :D
It would be almost impossible. Well, not impossible, but it would be extremely difficult without air tools.
Gotta replace the bearings and the strut mounts on both front struts, new front endlinks, and a new DPFE sensor.
So that entails taking the struts out of the knuckle (air hammer yay!) and disassembling them from the springs and all kinds of fun stuff. On a car with 111,000+ miles. This is gonna be fun. She better feed me a steady stream of beer.

Woo! Ford!
So... recap for those who don't understand...
Brian - you're going to do TJ's spring install on the 18th probably at your place in Y-town?
Jon - You're going to do something to TJs car on the 10th at your house in Akron?
Ryan - You're selling your car still?
Doc - Do you still have any tires layin' around your garage?

Looking that way. Probably 90% committed to selling it now. Just trying to crunch the numbers to figure out whether it's worth it to part out the aftermarket parts first and then sell it or just sell it as is. I'll probably part then sell.
Running the car August 1st at Nelsons so part out won't happen until after that. I'll know for sure in the next couple weeks.

Not gonna be a ton...gonna be like 10 - 15. You are welcome to roll up to my house though if yall want...except for Brian and Ryan as they won't make it over the new speed bumps being lowered and all.
Lets see if I can get everyone...
Sure... I would love to practice welding. Especially since its not on my car
I actually had my snake, but couldn't see where it landed.
I probably wouldn't try removing/installing the SSV bolts without taking the UIM off so they can be reached easier.
Beer and bacon

The perfect combination. I'm down with that.
I can come to your house this time.
That way its closer for others if they want to watch.
Steve- If you want to tag along, you can ride up with me since it'll be a long drive from Canton.
I remember bottoming out over one of those speed bumps.
That would be very bad for Ryan or Brian.

Yes it would be...I don't think either of them could get their front bumper lip over them. Fri I will be out at Montrose at 8AM so anytime after that is good for me.
