those plugs are the plugs i have coming actually. the starter is here. the BHR coils will be ordered when i save up the cash to get them. with he economy the way it is, and work bouncing around. i try not to spend any cash unless it is literally extra. and as far talking to jeff. as i said i have an aftermarket ems, so he may know a way to get in contact with someone who knows that system. being he is well recommended, im sure he as ran across this ems. there will never be a "do it for me", but info here and info there will get me further then staring at it, lol. and thanks to the both of you for helpful intel.

Just remember to shim those trailing plugs or else they'll protrude too far into the chamber and cause your repair expense to escalate.

No problem.
But remember that when we suggest something to you guys or give an honest opinion, we are doing it because we care and don't want to see your car get damaged.
If we didn't care or like you, we would just sit back and laugh when your turbo blew... oh wait... we would never do that...

Yeah... its a 2mm shim.
I ran those plugs before because they were cheap... and I was cheap... and wanted to try it.
They didn't last as long as OEM, but I'm N/A so I really shouldn't be using those kind of plugs.
Like I've said... you learn by experience.

while digging and digging thru stuff looking for data on my ems, i came across this little gadget http://www.microtech-efi.com/product/2.html , the owners who were talking about it also said it was compatible with my ems. wich the software for it, is ade by the same company that makes this unit. it could bypass the whole computer step, and make tuning it a lot easier. im guessig it would be the cobb Ap that would work with my set up. i just dont see the Ap being much use for me, when i have a piggyback ems calling the shots. they might not be compatible.

Yup... that's a PCMCIA to DB9 card that'll give you the required COM port.

i guess i would fall into this category. there is no way i could afford a new 8 at this point in my life. i have always loved the rx-7 ever since i saw my first one and then i got to drive my ex girlfriends, dads and loved it even more. recently when i was out looking for a new car cause the heads in my mustang blew (and i was tired of sinking money into it) my friend who is a salesman told me he had an 8 on the lot and i said i it would be out of my price range. a week later he gave me good deal on it so i jumped at it and now i own my first 8.

i can tell you that i will be asking ALOT of questions since i dont know squat about rotorys. and will probably be one of "those ppl" who thinks the worst when something does go wrong. after reading alot of different threads the conclusion that i have come to is that when something does go wrong im just gonna ask for advice in this thread so i dont have to deal with a bunch of different opinions and get a straight answer from the knowledgeable ppl in here.

DroptRX8- How much you looking at getting for your 8?
And could you give some details about it such as year, mileage, trim package (GT, T, Sport), any modifications.
I don't know anyone at the moment looking at buying an 8, but these are questions one will (should) ask.

In all seriousness... if you want to learn more about the RX8, come to our "install meets" and watch, help, ask questions.
Getting hands-on training is the best way to understand and learn.

Could be anywhere... depends on whose car we're working on.
Just watch this thread and come out when you see us about to work on something.

It's an auto...it's gonna be hard to move. If you slap Steve's Tranny in it I could probably move it next week.

That was sarcasm DroptRX8
It will be difficult to push an auto for that price though.
