^ Yes, 3 peddles are so much more fun in this vehicle, just my opinion. Found an '05 with just 8k miles and had to have it.

 

Would like to introduce myself, just moved back into the area.
04 RX8 with a little extra 'something'.
Getting the engine rebuilt by Banzai motors right this moment.
Look forward to meeting some other rotary people over the summer.

 

Looks like quite the setup. what area are you in? You should check out stancewi.com its a somewhat small localish forum, but is growing extremely fast. They do 2-3 big shows every season and multiple meets.

 

I'm down by miller park way and lincoln area. We just moved back into the area beginning of march.
Still gotta put it all back together before the real nice weather hits.
I'll give it a look, i don't have alot of time for car clubs or meets these days with the job, but i'll def check it out.

 

The stay awesome event is going to be at miller park this summer, if you can make atleast one of their events i'd suggest that one. It's going to be big. but anyways cool to have someone else on here who is local, I'm in the waukesha area.

Hey all, Figured I'd pop in and say hi, I'm From the Burlington/Lake Geneva area. Black '06 sport MT, Konig rims, and a batmobile spoiler. I literally just started driving her Wednesday, and the clutch went out on me last night on my way home..... If anyone would be nice enough to offer advice on replacements I would be forever in their debt. Thanks All!

You should contact Randy at Triple R Auto Sports in Waukesha. He's one of the best Rotary mechanics in the area. He might be able to help you out. He's at 262-719-0141

Randy is the ****. He hooked me up with my RX8 and suggested the clutch to put in mine. I went with the ACT HD setup. The clutch is awesome except for some chatter and odd engagement at times. Probably due to jumping the gun on break-in.

 

DemonRex i bought a clutch from Charle R Hill great guy good costumer service...sold me a nice set up and guide me throught the install also help me with the clutch pedal adjustment ...i live in milwakee ...if u need advice let me know...u going too need a special socket to remove the flywheel is its about 2 1/2 or so i have it i could let you borrow ...i think someone should do a car club will help us diagnose issues together ....

I appreciate the input guys, I'm pretty sure I'm going to upgrade the clutch to an ACT street clutch and the streetlite flywheel. I'm not looking for incredible amounts of power off the bat, but once I have the money Turblown engineering is definitely getting a call from me.

I know Randy, i know Randy REAL well, hes good people. I bought my first American rotary from him and worked on my stage 3 G60 Corrado in his garage back in the day when he was living with a VW tech i knew.
I've already spoken with him and he'll be attacking the tuning for me, it should have gone to him 2 weekends ago, but we found an unexpected oil leak and i got SUPER sick this last week, so right now, it sits on stands over a piece of white paper, hoping to fix up the leaks this week.
