Hopefully you didn't pay anyone to install it! Intakes are fun! Especially the Revi. "One bumper cover coming right off!"

Nothing like waiting until the last minute! Of course I'm not much better. I still have to get to Autozone to pick up my oil and filter. But at least they're local.

It doesn't cost anything to come hang out and go for a nice little drive afterwards!

Check the vids of the autocross here: https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...4&postcount=61

In the second video you'll see a familiar yellow and black helmet. I wonder who that belongs to?

Assuming I bring the wiring and whatnot, do you think we might be able to run wires through my dash for my carPC? Mounting the hardware in the glovebox may be something I take my time with, but it'd be nice to get the rest of the stuff out of the way for it.

I bet we could get to it. If LainO's not coming that leaves starsky, bbg, ferret, and chase. Mine can always wait if we end up running slowly. It's just an oil change and I can do that anytime.

On another note... I'll send a Mapquest link to everyone here in a few minutes with my phone number in case you guys have trouble finding the place.

Alright, I've sent a personal message to everyone with directions, address, and phone number to the garage for Saturday. Let me know if you didn't get the message and would still like to attend. It sounds like we'll end up having a good group of cars there. Hopefully everyone sticks around long enough to go for a nice little drive so we can at least get a good, scenic photograph. Of course the Wal-mart parking lot close by always works in a pinch, too!

Thanks to water for all his skills and work on Saturday. Sorry I had to cut out and miss eating with you guys. It was good to meet some new guys. 7/07 sounds like a good plan. Will have to get by Grand Prix at least once for some practice.

Let me follow up what Starsky said by saying Thanks Again to WaterLogged. You were a massive help. I could immediately feel the difference from the work we did. Also, please thank your sister again for letting us use her space. It was also good to finally meet Starsky, Maskedferret, and Sizzlin8 in person. I had a great time closing down Buffalo Wild Wings with the portion of us that was crazy enough to stay out past our bedtimes (Waterlogged I hope was feeling no pain Sunday). All a great group of guys, and we will definitely have to get together again.

You're totally welcome. Was good seeing you again. Is everything feeling all slickery? (yes, that's a word. Look it up. I dare ya!)

Hopefully next time we'll have some time for a drive.

Yeah, those Boulevards were going down too easily. Fortunately I paced myself and managed to get a bit of work done on Sunday without any night-before activity illness. I'm guessing you all made it home ok?

maskedferret, if you'd like to have a go at that carPC stuff this coming weekend, I've got Saturday open.

I'm back in town and a lot poorer. Vegas kicked my ***. I start work tomorrow which means that I will be back on my computer all the time. I still want to get together to do some buffing and ding filling if you guys are up. Let me know.

Looks like I won't be available Saturday...have to help a friend move. Don't let that stop your project though, I probably would have been more of a spectator anyway.

-- Welcome back terrets! Sorry to hear about Vegas.

And that, my friends, is why I don't like to gamble. I'd be living in my car with my luck.

Buffing and ding filling, eh? Soundssss like fun. I think I'm going get the whole front of my car repainted. I put 4 coats of Zaino on Friday of last week and it was a heartbreaker to see all the chips in that bumper. At least the rest of the car is shining in its gold-flaked beauty.

You're welcome to swing by my place and do your car on Saturday while we gut out... er... install maskedferret's carPC.

So, aside from coming back broke, did you at least have a good time? I mean, c'mon, Vegas IS Disney in the desert these days!

Maskedferret, terrets, and anyone else who'd like to hang, how does noonish sound?

I'm supposed to be at my friend's new house saturday, or I'd attend. I'd also show off some pics to you H2O. Excellent vacation.

I also did the whole Zaino kit about 3 weeks ago (wash 3 times, clay bar, 4 coats of wax, 4 coats of detail polish). Quite fun.

Also, isn't there autox on memorial day?? If I wrote that down correctly, I'm definitely down for that. Anyone going? I gotta try out this new suspension and get spanked by some STUs!

Absotively I'll be at the race Monday! I'm pre-registered for the whole season. BBG just got his membership today and is pre-registered for the event also. Not sure who else is going, but it would be fun to get some more people out there.

Don't worry about competing with the STU guys. Just keep an eye out for the guys in BS or go buy some race tires and run in SM2. Of course then you'd have to compete with Chris Hammond, but it'll give you an opportunity to have fun on R-comps.

Yeah my car would benefit greatly from some racing tires, but I'm not ready to spend that money!

Side note, Bill if you paint your front end you should put on a clear bra for sure. It'd stay new looking for a really long time.

Bah, it's worth a little more than $1k to be sticky. Just ask Phil. He likey: http://www.landsharktech.com/rx8/05132007/heat4run2.mov

Clear bra... that's definitely something I'll have to do next time. I considered it a long time ago but amidst my crazy life I completely forgot. Now it's too late. I also have a few touch-ups I need to do around the car, but I can probably do those myself. Luckily I'm two years and 59,000 miles into this car and door ding free, so I don't have to worry about getting those repaired. Although I do have a slight dent I'll probably repair myself that I made with the turn signal of the motorcycle.

I'd love to see those photos, Dave. Glad you had a good trip.

I had a pretty good time besides losing all the money. Is it cheaper to paint the front end or just buy a new one?
I am game for getting together for whatever on saturday, we can focus just on ferret's computer as I am not sure whehter I am ready for the stress of buffing and filling. I have some experience with stereos etc so I can probably help with the gutting.
As for Auto-x i am definitely in. I need to get all signed up.
