3-4 weeks sounds pretty good to me.

That day should work for me. I've got a football game I want to watch and once I figure out what time that is at I can plan around it.

I've been fighting getting my car ready for emissions testing this month. All my readiness monitors are good except Secondary Air and Evap. I put the air pump back on today so hopefully that will deal with everything. Not sure what is up with the evap but it may just be a gas cap.

 

Evap is probably the gas cap. Had that issue on my first 8.

 

Had to pick my wife's birthday.

 

The evap isn't throwing a code though. It just won't flip to ready. It might just be the gascap though. Just give her a ride Tim.

 

Have you done the procedure to set the monitors. It works pretty well. If it is going to throw a code it does it when readied.

Has not been decided yet. I think I have a nice little route in mind. About 2 hours or so. Nothing too crazy. Maybe do Imperial Commuter Lot to meet up. This is right off 55 in Imperial, MO to the right side of the highway coming from the north. Maybe next we will do another IL run.

 

I'd love to go, but unfortunately I am seriously considering trading the car in now because of its current condition. I'm pretty much set on hopping into a Miata.

On the subject of trading in, what do you recommend doing if the car is giving a CEL for something in the exhaust, that is likely the cat and/or exhaust going bad? (exhaust sounds like crap) Get it fixed before trade, or take the hit?

 

I'm not really sure about that to be honest. If you could find a cheap one on here that would probably be ideal. If they go through Mazda to get a new CAT those puppies are expensive so they would probably hit you pretty hard on a trade in.

 

I have all of the stock exhaust stuff stashed in my shed.

 

I got asked to work on Saturday morning so unless we move it to the afternoon I'm out this time. On the upside, my EVAP finally readied so I can get my license plates renewed now.

Its no problem. It was actually just me but I thought it might be. Its hard to set things up that everyone can make it to but Id like to do a legit cruise with a few of us at least able to attend.

How would October 25th work for everyone? Ill plan something for that date if we can get some people out.

On a side note I bought a GOODbox the other day. Almost forgot about that product but I'm excited for it to get here. It will be much nicer than having to hook up gauges.

 

You also might want to try the Stlrx groupand see if any of them would like to join us. I know there are at least a few other 8 owners on there that aren't on here.
