I think I saw something about that on here. Being weird only to one side can be caused by one of the plugs directly on the rack needing to be cleaned.

 

I saw it in the Trouble Shooting section in one of the stickies. It was the power steering failure one by MM and they describe the same problem you do at one point.

Also, classes do start this week and I don't want to go back yet.

 

Power steering failure sticky... Any chance you can help me find that? Classes start for me next week and I move back Saturday.

There is a diagram on the first page that shows the locations of all the connectors. Looks like some of the steering problems are random but cleaning up a few connectors helps a lot.

If you need physical help checking them out, then I will be home during the day all week. I only have one class the first 8 weeks and they are on Thursday nights.

 

I checked a few of the connectors today, mainly the two under the boil off overflow. Didn't help so I guess I will check the rest of them sometime this week. I work 7 to 7 everyday this week so I am really not sure when it will happen.

 

Sounds like a nasty work week. My schedule falls completely opposite of that. I had power steering issues for a while until I dealt with those two connectors under the overflow. After about the fifth time taking them apart I finally squeezed them together and used zip ties to hold them that way. Been good for about 6 months now. I would also check the other end of those plugs. It is a short harness that goes down to the rack. Looks like some other people have had trouble at that end. Good luck to you.

 

Cole this is how I solved mine it was acting up power steering even went out but this fixed it haven't had a problem since.

Adam I am down for the five bucks ship in let me know what day you in the STL area and I can meet you for the money.

So I still could not get that stuck cd out my head unit had the coupon for lou fewz mazda decided to use it get a that oil change for cheap and see If I could get my head unit for free no luck they don't even do the work themselves they have to outsource it to a company and fees run up to 200$. So I said **** it I kept my head unit **** up with just the radio working on ebay bidding for these monster wireless auxilary cable that hooks up to the cigarette lighter. I decided to go head and order the blue footwell by Advanced Automotive Concepts that would get hooked up the same time i take my car to the audio place on the South Side on Cherokee I will be able to get my amp upgrade from 100W to 1000W for my JackHammer 12'' Sub and they will take a look at my wiring for my Viper 2way remote start and trunk opener that been acting up.

So last winter I got very envious over the new Mercedes L shaped DRL so I got some off of ebay I was satisfied at first it looked to with my car but I had them hooked to they would come on automatically when ever the car was on even during daytime after a few month I noticed they started to dime and the bulbs went out one after the other now they don't light up anymore. So I decided to order an other pair of of ebay they are only about 20 bucks a pair including shipping so I am going to replace the ones currently on the car but this time I will hook it up so when the head lights come on the L shape DRL come on and see if they last longer that way.

Really want these on my 8 alon the line with the new DRL that would be dope.

In the long run I might have a hook for double din pioneer 7 inch touch screens for about $200. I will let you guys know if its for real or not I think that would be dope already found the RX8 double din intall kit got it on my wish list on ebay this the one that comes with the customize option I can put whatever i want it to say on the interior car display cant wait plus also found the PAC_SWIP steering wheel audio control interface that would allow me to keep the steering audi controls.

That be dope trying to see If I can get half on that done before the September meet We will see.

That is the longest post that has been on here in a looong time. I don't know if I will have a night this week or not to work on the car so I may be at someone's house on the STL side sometime next week to look at those.

Also, lighted rims is 1: Illegal and 2: Probably ricey as hell. It would be unique but I don't know how well it would look. Maybe it would surprise me though.

 

I took a 3 hour nap and tried again. I still don't know what most of it is about.

And yes; riced rims are lightey.

Charlie its been a while man.

I feel like I havent even posted here in a while too. Its seeming a little more quiet than it used to be.

Wish some of you guys coulda gone on the cruise today. It was alomost 5 hours long but it was a blast. I would love to elaborate more but cant on the forum. But lets just say it wasnt a slow pace at all and new roads that ive never been on. They were great.

Well as long as its not raining ill see some of you tomorrow at the show.

 

Awwww. Sounds like it was fun. I hate missing all that stuff.

well judge sided in my favor but since the court clerk screwed up i have to wait on it to be mailed. might get it tuesday. hay charlie i plan on doing a FL vacation from dec 28-jan 5th get ahold of me and maybe we can get together gonna be in tampa 0n dec 29/30 and ft. Lauderdale 31/jan 1 but jan2-4 we are leaving open if you know a deep sea fishing capt we plan on fishing jan 2 or so let me know.

 

How was the car show yesterday? Wish I could have made it out but moving this weekend put a damper on my plans.
