It's not that I didn't like them, but I don't know if they represented the perfect "unique identifier" for me. But I appreciate the help.
And opening that e-mail at work was a bad idea.
Where did you learn to eat a banana like that?

Thanks for letting me know about the Ranger thread
Howdy, y'all!
Just returned from a 5000 mile drive to the west coast and back!! Passed through Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota, Montana, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and North Dakota.
REX performed beautifully!! (i know...every other 8 owner calls their car "rex")
Got pulled over twice...but only one ticket.
My vote for most beautiful state in the US: MONTANA
Looking forward to meeting you guys at the BBQ on the 22nd.

Sounds cool Saxon. I took the Empire Builder from Chicago to Seattle through all of those states. It is very scenic. What did you do in Washington. I lived in Seattle for a few years, so if you made it out there, I am interested in konwing how things are out there.
Sakura-chan is jeolous of REX as she has only gone to Wisconsin thrice.
I forget, do you live up here near Lincoln Square?

REX turned 12 on this trip! (12,000 miles in 5 months). In late March, I had done another long drive to Virginia (other relatives), through NYC (another cousin), up to Boston (friends there), and back to Chicago. (A mere 2600 miles, that one). So I've touched the waters of both the Atlantic and the Pacific in three months.

Car has been smoooooth and reliable the whole way.
I think REX and Sakura-chan are twins, yes? (both 2005 Shinkas)
Re Lincoln Square: I live in River North, near the Merchandise Mart.
See you at the BBQ.

Saxon,
You got me beat. I am coming up on 14K, but I have only had mine for nine months.
Does the 987 in your handle represent REX's production number?
What kind of mileage are you getting under normal driving, and what kind do you get when you do these trips?
