flip -

A really good site to use to find restaurants is metromix.com. Go into the chicago section and it lets you specifiy specific areas of the city, specific suburbs, etc.

I'll rattle off some nice places I can think of in the western burbs.

Key Wester in Naperville - good seafood, get the conch fritters: http://www.portillos.com/keywester/

Isabella's in Geneva - only been here once, but it was really good: http://www.isabellasgeneva.com/

Walter Payton's Roundhouse in Aurora - haven't been here in awhile for dinner, but if you like microbrews, football, etc, it is a good place to try" http://www.walterpaytonsroundhouse.com/

Meson Sabika in Naperville - neat experience; tapas style dining in an old mansion: http://www.mesonsabika.com/mesonsabika/

Rosebud in Naperville - nice italian place; haven't been here in awhile to know how the food is, but a few years back it was very good: http://www.rosebudrestaurants.com/

Sullivan's in Naperville - fancy steak place: http://www.sullivansteakhouse.com/

La Sorella di Francesca in Naperville - nicer italian place: http://www.miafrancesca.com/restaurants/sorella/

My wife and I actually met RSD and BlueRenesis at a nice italian place at the corner of 95th street and Rt 59 in Naperville last weekend, but I can't remember the name of it. Maybe she will chime in?

Naperville Rosebud is pale in comparison to the real Rosebud.

Look up Fogo De Chao. It's downtown and several types of meat and brought to your table.

This car comes apart very easily, that is for sure.

The damage looks very manageable and I was pleasantly surprised with how much is still good/reusable.

This is the worst of it:

A new front clip will probably be the easiest/best way to handle this. And I may have one sourced.

Yeah, it comes apart a lot easier than it goes back together. Sounds promising.

Texas De Brazil is very good - I've been there a couple of times - if you've never been to that sort of place, it is a bit different how it works - you pay a flat fee ( I think it's $48 a person) that doesn't include drinks or tip, (or dessert) but does include everything else which is a salad bar (very good - high end stuff, great soup, etc) potatoes, fried plantains, and as much steak, chicken, pork and sausage as you've ever eaten. You don't realize how much you're eating, because they give you small portions (the guys are always coming around with various cuts/types of meat on skewers) but it adds up quickly. My favorite thing is that every bite is fresh and hot - even at a really nice steakhouse, your steak is cooling down quickly while you're eating it - here, since the portions are small and coming out constantly, it's always hot. Here's a tip...since it is expensive, on your first visit, the host will ask you if its your first time and if you'd like to register for thier anniversary email list - we did, and that gets you periodic emails with coupons, but on your anniversary, it's buy one, get one free - that's a nice $48 coupon. This place is in woodfield mall - I'd recommend it...

Finally made it into Chicago area sunday evening... beautiful drive coming north on I-55 -=)

Im itching to pick up some Tein H-Techs pretty soon. Are there any install parties you guys do from time to time? I have zero tools out here -=( If there is no way I can get some board members to help with install, does anyone know of a shop not too far from Whiting who could install the springs? Thanks.

I am planning to go to meet Friday. I would go to Saturday's meet but I have some great tickets to watch the Dynamo beat the Fire

I haven't see much about install meets but I've got a garage and tools, whenever I am around there is usually a car or motorcycle being worked on. You are welcome to come on out. I'm not too terribly far south of whitting in Crown Point, IN.

Good parts prices

Guys,

I keep forgetting to post this, but I finally remembered...

If you go to Naperville Mazda and talk to Ray in the parts department, he will probably be able to give you a good discount on parts. Tell him Mark sent you and you are part of Evolv, the rotary car club. I don't know exactly how much of a discount he will be able to give everyone, but I was able to get good prices on some parts from him. He's a nice guy that has done road racing, etc.
