Hi everyone - just got done installing my stupid front license plate...I had to...{gasp} drill pilot holes in the grill...I am seriously more bummed about having the plate on then the ticket I got for not having it (which I am going to fight) - this leads me to my question - I'm curious what the EVOLV group's take is on radar dectectors...I'm pretty sure I was pulled over just cause I had one - yesterday I took it down altogether...what are the rest of you doing? Detector or no? Hidden or visable? My brother-in-law (a s-2000 guy) won't use one - says you're more likely to get a ticket than a warning if you have one - any thots?

 

I have one. I put a power cord from the overhead lights to the detector. I wanted it up high.
I've heard that the police are mostly neutral on the use of detectors. The think they are going to get you anyway. They maybe right.

 

I don't get it, what about that is funny. This is serious buisness. Chuckling will not be tolerated, especially if I don't get the joke. Now do 100 pushups.

I have a Bel (somethin or other ... I don't remember the numbers) that is hardwired. It's up in the black area near the rearview mirror and you can't see it from the outside. I LOVE having it there, but am finding that my little suction cups HATE the black dots on the windshield in the cold and I often find my detector flying off the windshield while I'm driving (NOT SAFE!). So I'm currently investigating new suction cups, because having it there is super cool and stealthy
