So an update for everyone (Al)...
The new forum is almost ready, but I'm having some issues with user groups that I can't figure out...so bear with me. As for the site itself... Well, once I figure out how to work with CSSs, or rather make it look remotely close to what the template says it should look like, it'll go up. The next piece is trivial....
I've been playing with both vBulletin and PHPBB. The latter seems a little easier to manage, but I keep blowing it up with these style templates and can never recover it and am tired of redoing everything, so I think I'm going with the former which technically costs $$$, has more features (seemingly) and is now the bane of my existance. :D
I'm working on a few last things to make it somewhat pleasing to the eye (well, only one template anyway) and the photo gallery will be next on my list of things to do. I'm trying to figure out a way to tie the gallery in with the forum so you don't have to login twice, but until then...deal with it.
I've tried to contact Ryan (the admin here) but he never answers...so I'll keep plugging along with the permissions issues and let you all know when things are ready to go. Probably a real launch Mar 1.
