Well, I managed to scratch one of my wheels tonight on a curb! Haven't even had the car for two weeks. The scratch is hardly noticeable, but it's like a splinter in my mind... (name that movie...)

Anybody know of a good place in the western burbs to get minor wheel repair done?

Thanks!
Mark

theres a DIY on here somewhere about fixing your wheels.Mine had a HUGE scrape on one of the rears that I should really fix before I swap out my wheels again. I'll post the link if I find it ...

The Matrix, Morpheus to Neo

You can go to a bodyshop and they will be able to do it... I had pretty bad scratches on 2 of my wheels on my 350Z I thought about getting fixed before I sold it. I can't remember how much they wanted, but it was pretty expensive.

thanks!

I'm thinking I might check with White Eagle Auto Body. Had some good bodywork done there in the past. Or perhaps my tire place (discount tires in Oswego/Montgomery) will know of somebody good.

Wondering if I should try out my siped Dunlops in the snow today, but I don't think I have the guts... thinking I will get some snow tires next fall...

I drove the RX-8 for the first time on wet pavement this morning. I would have to say it drove great on the summer Dunlops. I had to use pretty aggresive throttle to get the rear end to break loose, and the stability control kicked in almost instantly.

Is this everyone else's experience around here as well? I'm just wondering if my tire siping really made a difference, and if so if they will really get all-season type traction in the snow...

Ok, that link worked & I registered, but I tried the main address and the text links do not show up under the pic (I'm running the latest version of Safari on highspeed) In explorer, they show up, but some are only partially visable...I work for an ad agency that creates websites and rarely hit any snags like this...who knows...my other main mac (G5 with every option known to man) just had it's 160G harddrive kill itself last week...so maybe it is me...my computers hate me...sigh...

It's an encoding issue I think. I think all I need to do is remove this...

"<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"

And all may be well. I had read something somewhere about it. I'm not all that HTML savvy so...

Or...

That's what you get for using a Mac.

Mebbe if y'all paid your overinflated dues to Red Devil, we would unlock the secret door so you could have full functionality.

Is that a turbo 20B? I wouldn't think that a NA 20B would give that much increase in HP.

Does anyone who has the appearance package (front air dam, side aero flares, rear aero flars) know if it makes the lowest part of the car at the front, back, side lower than stock?
Do I even make sense when I ask that?
