guys, this is not my car, but one of my students trying to sell her 06 Scion XB 5spd, just shy of 70,000miles for $11,000 OBO.
it is Toyota certified, and can be transferred covers a couple more years or till 100,000 miles.

The seller moved to NY, and could not take her car, thus it's sitting in my drive way, and i'm riding once in a while as my daily... if anyone interested, or know of anyone interested, let me know.
I'll be there for the test drive, and once the deal is made, she will fly down and do the title transfer.

she's having hard time selling b/c of 5spd... it's a great car to drive around the town, and has huge room for such a small car. to be honest I don't mind she can't sell the car, so that I can just keep it as my daily for free... but I told her I'll try to help her selling it...

Saw an 8 facing the wrong way on 71 North this morning on my way to work. Hope it was nobody's here. Didn't look to be any damage (I didn't get a great look because I am not a rubbernecking savage) but still never a good sign!

 

Probably a Honda cut in front of the 8. They like to do that.

Had two and a half days without a connection. It teased me by showing there was a connection, and would sometimes load up my home page, but that was it. Couldn't even get an e-mail dump.

nah, I had that rim for a while now.
it's my autox rims. I daily on my cheap rims with cheap tires, and use my good rims and tires just for the track day...

can't afford both!

btw, it's very frustrating (not exactly, but something like that), but also make me even more addicted, when lycanthrope (member here, and also the Solo Chair of the Cincy SCCA) can go full 2 seconds quicker driving another 8. His first warmup run was as fast as my best (the last) run...

Tact, I'm jealous. Can't watch the video but the little shot of the pavement had me drooling. I'd love to drive an 8 against you guys to see how slow I really am. I can't really compare myself to anyone else as there aren't any similar cars (others are more prepared than mine).

I am going to have to get a new clutch sooner rather than later with all my new power, so I've been shopping around. I see these F1 Racing sets on eBay, lo and behold Good-Win Racing carries some of the line (yes, I do browse there. Prudent shopper and all that). Has anyone on here had any experience with them, or know someone who has? The price is right but I don't want to have to remove the tranny twice to do this job due to failure of a poor set of components.

 

From what i've gathered, f1 stuff is junk. I'd stay with the known good brands out there like exedy, act, centerforce, etc. if i were you, especially since you're making much more power than stock.

I'm heading north this weekend, so no fuel for me. Lots of beer to drink with the old man and some special Irish whiskey direct from Ireland with our name on it. Literally.
