Yes. would be curious on what he has been doing.

The Vette is great!!! Just have the intake on it. I did lower it about 1 to 1.5 inches, so it looks nasty now. But I really have to watch speed bumps and driveways.

It's a shame that I see so many 8's and still so few in the forum.

I know the Vette's have more years on the road, but the 7's and 8's really should be like the Vette's owners and waive at each other ect. Instead you get next to a another 8 and they refuse to look and do whatever they can to get away. There was pretty good thread in the CA about that.. if you can find it, pretty good read.

I really like the brotherhood/sisterhood that you get with the Vette. But Ali and I are pretty young compared to most owners.

I'm sure your lexus is treating you right

Jim (Stinger) sent you an email.... few days ago...

To the rest, hello and hope all is well.. October busy month of friends/family, I will be to busy to visit final auto X of the year.

Picture is from this weekend but from crappy camera phone, but can see how low it is now.

If anyone gets a look at this, let me know what you think. That is the shaking and engine knocking video that is "normal".

It may be normal, i dont know.

Thanks!

Zeblien, I read your other post "https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=129289" and that diagnosis sounds about right for Garcia Mazda. That’s what they told me about my drivers’ side HID blinking continuously. They replaced the bulb then the whole assembly then said it was normal and compared it to a red 8 that one of them owned. Why would they say there's a problem and then say its normal? Their either ripping off Mazda for warranty work or can't figure it out and trying to get rid of you.

My brief experience with Garcia is that they are crooks - go to University. They aren't great - but seem to be fair.

I had an interesting night last night 10-26-07! I almost was side swiped & you won't believe what almost did it! On the way home around 9pm there was this white 8 head north in the same direction that I was going to go. So I caught up with it. Just as I was about 1/2 way up along side it the driver decided he wanted to be in my lane instead of his. By the time he realized there was a vehicle there and not just open asphalt 3/4 of my 8 was driving in the median/painted turning lane. Luck that was there because in another mile, this lane does not exist! What are the ODDS of seeing another 8? Let alone seeing another 8 and it being the car that just about creams you!

I have always used University. I have had one dealing with Garcia and lets just say they DO NOT come highly recomended from me!

So how has everyone been?

My rx8 was hard to start in the AM, i took it to American Auto and they replaced the spark plugs- said they were worn out. $250.00 !! (On my new engine) Where should i be going now that the warranty at University is over?

They were great by the way, Debbie took care of us for 4 years.

Also my two rear rims are bent or damaged, im thinking it is from having flats fixed, they always have so much trouble taking the tires off the rims. What do you all think?

If I was you Aug03, I would start taking any mechanical needs that you are not comfortable with doing yourself to Tom over at Rotary RX! Here is a Link with all thier info

http://rotaryrx.com/

I have to agree Debbie was really great to work with, as well as the rest of University Mazda.

NM roads and potholes would be more likely to blame than tire repair.

RotaryRX guys probably best bet to have car worked on..

Who, do you think, didn't tell us about the big grand opening of the microbrew house out by their place....who?

A grand missed opportunity! I'm not a big beer drinker, but that would have been interesting. Will they be doing any kind of open house as a regular feature?

Aright, I am filing a complaint (or have already) with MNMO regarding their faulting service and refusal to acknowledge my car issues as anything but normal wear and tear (hardly).

I ask if any of you want to spend a few minutes out of your day to give them a call and tell them your horrible story with Garcia, that will help this issue go a long way.
I have my car at University now, and they have fixed the big issue, which was the shaking car and the engine knocking.

Oddly enough, it is the motor mounts, which Garcia looked at twice, on my recommendation.

This time around, University seems to be knowledgeable.

Oh No You found my drinking hole.. its walking distance from my house.. haha.. Actually I didn't even think about it.. Trust me I was so pissed that they had it on a weekend that we went on a trip... it was to late to cancel.... I really hope they are going to do it more often.. But the Lazy lizard in cedar crest at the Triangle has amazing beer.. and decent food.. Friday night is usually live band.. really fun place to hang out. All local beers and wines.

The brewery is building this huge solar dish that will follow the sun, think 50ft in diameter, then retract at night...

Since they are so close you need to tell them to do the grand opening event more often, just call it something else.

Anyone want to buy my, stock exhuast? I have the muffler and stock midpipe with cat and presilencer.. If your out of warranty, a new cat will cost you some high dollars. I believe maybe 10,000 to 15,000 miles on the stock Midpipe and about 5000 to 8000 on stock exhaust. I also have stock airbox. One screen missing as used it in the racing beat system. Just taking up space in my garage, so give me some christmas money...

Also, update with Garcia Mazda. They fired the service director and agreed to work with me and gave me the above, which I would rather have the money for xmas gifts.

If anyone is interested, email me at zeblien@gmail.com

Ocho

GHOST TOWN is an understatement!!

I have felt all alone in here!

I know it is a lil late but Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to all of you as well! It sure would be nice if we could all get together again when the weather warms up a little bit for a drive or a few drinks or such to catch up with each other!

I'm assuming everyone has sold their cars or have left the state... Warm weather will soon be here... I took the corvette up north of Denver and ran 10 to 20 over speed limit whenever I could and got 29 to 30mpg for the entire trip... Was very pleased. But all the pot holes and rough roads in CO made for a bumpy ride and my wheels are now out of balance. Lets just say, i'm not complaining about any NM roads after driving I-25 in CO.. I know there is a lot more snow up there, which obviously kills the roads faster.

Anyway if anyone wants to know about the brewery in Moriarty... here ya go

Not sure why they don't open on weekends, I'm at work during their operating hours, so one day next year I may get there.. LOL

Hi - you can visit and tour the brewery M-F 9:00am - 5:00pm. We are often here later, and sometimes on weekends, call ahead for availability.

Cheers
