Although our peak hp increase was as high as 6.4, I'd like to suggest that a 3 to 4 hp peak increase will probably be more common and again, that's not the main purpose of the pump.

Hi Paul, any chance of a group buy? Wishfully thinking.

just put mine on tonight. it is everything that has been said. I also beg to differ that you cannot "feel" the increase. Of course i am near psychotic so it is probably a preconceived focused delusion manifested by misconception of multi sensory signals as a result of desire. However it could be factual if someone experiences this. There again it may only be factual to us.

Paul: Stop by and see me at the Paradox Performace booth at SSX. If you happen to bring a demo pump with you, it's mine. Pick up the $ from me at the booth.

Yeah Paul!
I know it is a new product and you need to get your R&D, Casting & other costs back out of it, but what says ye about a GB or a short term discount? My Pettit s/c would love the cooler and more free flowing pump. Hell I just had to replace mine with another stock one just a week ago. I'd like to bump it up to a MazMart Hi-Flow Pump!
If not I'll still be getting one sooner than later!

+1

I'd be interested on getting one depending on the price.

Unfortunately no group buys at this time.

I have to sell about 100 units at our current pricing (Which we chose carefully to satisfy the needs of our wise and thrifty club memeber customers) just to cover R&D. It's worse than 0 profit until then but I thoroughly enjoy bringing a sharp and helpful product to market, something that makes a difference to others; that's why I'm here at all.

Thanks for asking though.

Paul.

Dont worry about the temps Guys. The cooling factor is there--no doubt.
If I can get our car to do OK with the oem pump temp wise--this cant do anything but better. Besides it is the high rpm cooling that will change significantly, not the everyday driving--unless you have FI, live in a VERY hot climate or have a LOT of stop and go bumper to bumper traffic on a 90F day etc. But with this pump a person will probably not have to do the little tricks associated with increased cooling.

OD,
I've been debating getting this since I first heard about it but I'd like your opinion.
I do not track my car, probably never will but I do drive 60-120 miles a day, much of it can be sitting in HOT CAlifornia weather in bumper to bumper traffic. When I'm NOT in traffic, I do drive quite "agressively".
Think I benefit from this?

(I'm sure others are in a similar situation)

I need to get this, and at near 60K on the OEM water pump and seeing the condition of Vice Grip's in the other thread, I may be ready to retire mine...

Alright,
Here's the skinny, straight from the professor (Not me, Rick of course):

Having a pump function more efficiently in any rpm range, moving the water through the system faster without creating bubbles is better in every way, even beyond temp readings and despite the action of the thermostat which is regulating the flow to the rad for exposure to airflow. This is because you are able to reduce localized hot-spots whether or not the water is bypassing. During bypass, it stays circulating in the block (Which it will do when the thermostat is closed) and when the thermostat opens it blocks the bypass and directs the flow to the rad. Either way circulating it faster is beneficial and proven through examination of rotor housings used in racing for 30 plus years. If you could measure all points of the motor you could understand but I don't know anyone outside of Mazda Corp testing such things on a Renesis.

So even though our pump can be proven not to cavitate at upper revs and therefore provide cooling benefits that way, it has unsung advantages that are also occurring.

Trust me, you're first on the list. You are PRIORITY 1 .

If you want I can do a unit sooner. It would just cost more. I don't know if that's worth it to you.

the pump is the heart of the cooling system--should be the 1st cooling mod. Include it in any FI package automatically. Sure there are band-aids you can do but this is the start of a real fix.
Jedi--this is the real deal. I cant imagine a 9K engine running the water pump thing i took off my engine yesterday. Amazing Mazda put this on. Sure a 6-7K engine it may work ok. But a 9K engine with a 270 degree flame front----!!! What were they thinking.
Yep I got my cooling system to do ok for me for the past 3 yrs. BUT, it was always a concern and I watched cooling closely. I always felt it was on the end and if fact it was. This does it properly and imho it should be the 1st mod anyone does--then real gauges! THEN start on your other stuff.
I do not work for Mazmart!

In all seriousness I think you will reach your goal of 100 quick.

Just update us when you will be getting a new batch so we can break our piggy backs or tap into the kids college funds.

Now I have 1 concern, this just came up in my mind.

If I change this pump, then my Engine has problems (for whatever reasons), can dealership give me **** about it?

Dont get me wrong I love the idea of this pump, and I think with this pump it should be able to make my engine running happier.

I know about the laws and stuff and to my understanding, they should only deny the part that I changed and/or if its the cause of the problem. but cooling system is pretty critical so they can probably say that the cooling pump fuxks up the engine.

or maybe I can just swap the old water pump back if something funny happens. What you guys think ?
