Jeff,

This is the second time I'll begin with, "with all due respect":

2 month ago: submitted a tuning request
8 days ago: told to use new "base calibration" technique. Sort of miffed about the 2-month wait, but I go along with it. Spend the next 2 days doing base calibration procedure. Seems very good.
6 days ago: Emailed you request for base calibration. We exchange a few emails, you clearly received them. Was told I'd have something in 48 hours, excluding weekend.
Curently: still nothing. What's the deal here?

Remember me?? AndrewBauerschmidt@gmail.com

Umm......Please?

Remember we had holidays and Jeff probably took a little break to enjoy christmas so things have been a bit slow lately. I guarantee you he will send you new calibrations. Sometimes they just take a bit more than 48 hours specially in holiday season. But he will catch up in no time so just sit tight :D

I was like you but I have learned to be a bit more patient since this is not Jeff's fulltime job.

Jezzus h christ.

Do you want me to buy your AP back from you? Really?

Its not a problem if you do. Let me know.

I do this sh*t for FREE. You only paid for the AP. I can very easily sell it to someone else who has their own house slave.

Remarkable.

Elysium -
Really. Come on.
We just went through Christmas an New Years and here you are complaining about 2 freaking work days turnaround on something you are getting for FREE.
Your "two month" previous tuning request was missing data. Do you want me to put all this out here publicly like your complaint?

If you are really that dissatisfied with something you are getting for nothing, please let me know that you want to return the AccessPORT and I will take it back from you.
There are plenty of people that want one and I could find it a good home.
This is not a "money-back guarantee" or anything like that. Its just an offer from me to you.

Yeah to put this a little on perspective, there is a local AP tuner that tunes subaru's and he charges $300 for an hour of tuning at the dyno, thats not counting what you have to pay at the dyno too.

A little harsh, no doubt.

When I was working in music back in DC, my band had two African American guys (they called themselves black, but I don't want to be too non-PC) in the front line.
One had very light skin (lighter than I am now) and the other was very dark.
The swarthier guy used to refer to himself as the field-N* and the lighter guy called himself the house-N*. As far as they were concerned, all 6 of us were N*s because we had to sing and dance for our supper.

I know that is horribly racist sounding, but if you've ever been that close with a bunch of musicians (especially in a place like DC) for 20+ years, nothing ends up being off-limits.

So, what I wanted to say was "I can very easily sell it to someone else who has their own house-N*", but I figured that was just too mean sounding for the uninitiated.

Just out of curiosity Jeff (or others who know). The other stuff we can log, but you don't need. What's the reason you don't need it, stuff like intake temp, ignition values of all sorts and such. Is that the things the PCM handles superbly on it's own?

intake temp is actually really good to know if you're trying to measure the impact of something like a cold air intake. at the same time it helps confirm how useless an aftermarket CAI is.

another neat one to watch is the Catalyst temperature. We could roast some serious weenies at 1600 degrees fahrenheit.

Have a little faith that once you sent the newly calibrated stuff that he'll send you your updated trims. Give it at least a week of non-holiday time before you start bitching, seriously.

I have far too many mixed thoughts about this so I'll just hold my tongue.

Message received. And for what it's worth, me saying "with all due respect" might have been taken as sarcastic; it was not.

I already have offset mapping for IAT, ECT and BARO.
I don't need to know what they were at the time of testing.
In any event, the MAF does what it does without regard to air temps and I assume (possibly incorrectly) that each of you has the sense to log on a fully warmed-up motor (since that is what I put in the instructions).

can't we let MM get back to work taking avatar pics... there has been a steady decline lately and I for one am appalled at the lack of booties.

That and ... question ... do you think its worth it to get an obx or rb header ... would there be any hp increase? how much / how much with new map.

strait pipe vs high flow cat ? how much / how much tuned (over high flow not stock)

anyways if you need any help with your income taxes let me know i would gladly offer to do them for you free of charge. (i am a tax prep)

its the least i can do for helping us peoples out.
ohh and turbo tax stinks booty!

so how was everyones holidayss? i data logged on my way to mexico.. free open road in the middle of nowhere... i seem to get worse gas mileage with these new maps. i used to get around 24.4 mpg now i can barely get 21 mpg..

the coils did bring my gas mileage down quite a bit (returned back to stock)

on open mid-pipe is better over the stock CAT anywhere from 5 - 15 HP or so, depending on the state of tune before and after the CAT deletion.
I don't have any reliable data on headers yet.

I will get you some fresh booty.

I certainly do, and I assume people who buy the AP are interested enough in their car to know that the engine should be warmed up before they drive like idiots. But I may assume that incorrectly too
