This means we have confirmation that the AP is indeed the holy grail of fuel management for the RX-8.

Power and economy, who said it couldn't be done?

Can't say I've seen an increase of gas mileage yet... of course the first tank of gas I did tons of WOT runs for testing, and the second tank I started tinkering with the 0-60 and 1/4 mile timers in the AP

Jeff are there any plans/interest in looking at tuning post water meth install? I believe that everything else being equal reducing intake charge temps will be more effective with that system that trying to do it with richer a/f's. Juan has some interesting findings.

True, it seems the one to beat.
A mounting accessory could be handy for this.

I know Jeff is really busy, but I'm curious about my plots. Anybody have any comments? Or have you guys experienced similar results? In the next two weeks, all my mods will be complete for my NA setup. I think at that point in time is when my tune will need to be reviewed closer to eliminate the highs and lows in the AFR.

I be back.
I'll send you stuff in a few.
Since the turbo's have been a mixed bag, I'll send you the "un-fixed" and "fixed" maps. Hopefully, "un-fixed" will work right out of the bag.

Notice my throttle in the graph for 1st - 4th gears around the start of second? I broke the rear tires loose pretty good from the pavement. I really do not remember getting off the throttle for a few seconds, but would the traction control, that activated, shut down my throttle instantly? I had it on at the time.

Yes, DSC would cut the throttle. I logged the same kind of behavior when I was doing a second gear pull on wet pavement when the secondary and tertiary ports opened.

WOOT!!!!!!!!

Don't forget to rename the zip files to "filename.zip.txt" because my email server does not accept zip files.

Thanks!

Looks like your second fuel map (3rd/4th) needs a tweak.
I'll send you an updated version.

Its a beautiful thing, isn't it?
I've almost gotten control of my schedule again! One more day of personal damage control and I'll be back on track.
My living room looks like a bomb went off in a metalworks.

That's a great observation Nemisis.

I'm really impressed with what Jeff has accomplished in such a short period of time.

He is effectively custom tuning all our cars remotely! This level of customization and service usually only happens when you bring your car to a shop and get it dyno tuned.

Nice work Jeff. Thanks for what you are doing for the community.

I'm saving my pennies for this one...

edit: wrong quote from Nemisis

Or start charging for the custom tunes.

The leangths you're going to are awesome, but really, you're out-of-the-box maps are more than anyone could really expect. All this tweaking and tuning, even doen remotely, has to be taking a LOT of time, and there's already enough customizability in your standard map set to cover most folks. The rest of us deserve to pay a bit more to be picky (I'm using "us" in the optimistic, I plan on knocking over a bank later in the week. If that goes well, I'll place my order )
