It isn't likely that the AP is the problem - usually power-up issues are the OBD DLC on the car.
That said, you can get warranty service if you need directly through Cobb from here:

I'm also having a problem with my AP right now, it turns on and still functions fine but the screen is really dim and seems to flicker? Does it in my car and another 8 and also when connected to my computer through USB?
I contacted Cobb already and they opened a RMA ticket to send it in, just curious if anyone has had a similar problem.

is there supposed to be a pin missing on the bottom right with the AP screen facing up?

Update: my cobb AP will not come on plugged into the computer either. Gets warm when plugged into car.

Called Cobb, gonna send it in.

can someone tell me accessports HP/TQ gains, I know it's worth getting but I'm planning to stay N/A for a while should I get Cobb AP or hypertech. I have a AEM CAI and I think I got luck because there is pretty big difference from my stock I-box with K&N filter, I plan on getting a agency power mid pipe and RB exhaust, any ideas on what to do?

Yes... search!
It's all documented here and there's no need to clog this thread any further.

Got my AccessPORT back. The screen needed to be replaced. It's working fine so far.

What was the total cost for Cobb to replace the screen? I haven't sent mine in yet but it's likely the same problem

Oh ok yours was still under warranty. I was just curious, not really worried about it, I'm just going to send it in to Cobb, I already have the RMA setup.

Jeff,

I know that I've posted here before about my stock engine using a Cobb AccessPORT. My question for you now is about ordering the Cobb. Do I need to establish something with you here before ordering it? If you're interested, the upgrades I'm going to be installing are the REV-i intake, REV-8 exhaust, resonating mid-pipe (also Racing Beat), and the BHR ignition set. All of these parts are on order and probably won't all be here for a little while.

EDIT: Sorry, I couldn't wait. I was too eager, lol. I already ordered. :P

More likely only bad luck. Jeff's email spam services are crap too when it comes to some european providers.

Well isn't that fantastic. And here I am writing to say that I want to cancel my order and receive a refund too. I decided that the AccessPORT, while cool and all, isn't really necessary for my 8. The modifications I'm doing don't really need it.

So hopefully he'll read this and send my money back soon.

You placed your order on September 24th, 2011. On October 8th, you requested a refund.
It was explained to you at that time that your window for cancelling the order had already passed and, as per the agreement that you clicked-through to place the order, there are no refunds or returns.
That said, when your shipping window came around on, I sent you an e-mail indicating that if another European order came in, I would substitute that new customer's order for yours and issue a refund.
On the 9th, I issued a refund, but you initiated a charge-back before the funds could hit your account,. This stopped Google from giving your money back until the charge-back could be resolved.
I provided Google with all of the documentation of your purchase - including the refund order - but now you were facing a 30-day hold because of your action.
On the 7th of December (two days BEFORE you made this post), Google released your funds.

I don't do PMs because I don't want to deal with multiple points of contact. I have e-mail addresses for all AccessPORT correspondence. That is what they are for. If a customer can't figure that out, it doesn't bode well for their potential for success in the remainder of the endeavor.
I've only been banned 3 times on this site - twice for the reason I was banned on Friday. I suspect I'll banned again from time to time.

Once again - THERE ARE NO REFUNDS AND NO RETURNS. This was all made clear in your purchase agreement.
That said, your AccessPORT has already shipped.

Jeff, thanks for the response. I've been on the fence regarding the Cobb for a while, but eventually I decided that I want it. It was pretty funny that no sooner did I post my previous response up than I got an email stating that my Cobb was being shipped, lol.

So now I'll wait to get it and work through the instructions. If I have any questions or concerns, I'll let you know!
