Cobb AccessPORT Discussion
hey Jeff, long time no see.
Shoot me a PM or an email when you get a chance, I have a proposition for you!
(involves another trip to SoCal and LOTS of Monster coffee drinks.

not in my junk mail folder either...
could you please resend? I'll assume it's a problem with my email provider. Let me know if you want me to pm you a different email address.

I sent back the same calibration because it's running rich on the top end (at least I think so?) ? maybe I wasn't specific enough with my email. sorry I wasn't specific. And I was seeing if I could get something more lean for cruising/idling (without being too lean of course) for your magical 22mpg...

Yeah but what can we do? We're at his mercy. I've tried everything short of flying over there and knocking at his door...lol.
I'm past the angry phase. Yes, there are emotional phases you go through when dealing with this whole AP+MM+waiting for a map issue...lol. Look around, I'm not the only one in this rapidly sinking boat.

What do you want, exactly?
You sent to me WOT logs of a car that look essentially good, but abridged and none of the other info that is specifically indicated on the first page, other than your personal specifics.
Now, realize that you aren't alone. I have 5 or 6 dozen people that send me even less.
Over and over again.
Sometimes several times a day.
The AccessPORT is not designed to fix problems with your car.
If you have a bad idle, verify it by uninstalling.
If you have bad fuel economy, verify it by a useful datalog (or a drawing on a cocktail napkin) of the cruise range in open loop.
If you want me to address your WOT operation, try taking it to redline, instead of letting off at 7k.
As indicated on the first page of this thread and in the e-mail sent to every customer - incomplete requests will be rejected.
That means, if you don't send the data I need in the format I can use, you get circular filed.
I offer this service for free to AccessPORT purchasers. Understand that. You could have paid exactly the same amount for the AP somewhere else and gotten nothing other than the hardware.
Last I checked, the few authorized Cobb tuners that were even willing to look at RX-8 customers were charging $300 - $600 for a basic calibration.
So, bear with me.
And do both of us a favor and READ THE FIRST POST.
If it is the least bit unclear, ask another AP customer on this thread to help you through the process.

I love you Jeff.
Would you prefer Lambda or should I multiply the it by 14.7 to get a ghetto AFR for the graphing of the data logs when the time comes?

thanks for all the help Jeff!
Mr. Mazdamaniac
Since I see that you are answering stuff here.
Can you pls tell me what I am doing wrong? I basically copied what it says on the first page which is the same thing you send with your first e-mail to ask you what I need. I sent you the datalogs with charts and even dyno charts and to no avail.
I have sent you various emails asking you how I can purcahse the set of injectors from you because I can see that in the page it says an ammount but nowhere to order and it doesnt specify shipping so id like for you to help me with this.
Please respond so I can order the injectors from you and then you can send me the AP map for the MM upgrade with your injectors and the AEM CAI based on the datalogging I sent you.
If you need anything let me know!

I know my current calibration is correct, and it is working wonderfully.
I would just need for you to recalibrate it since im changing from the base greddy kit to the upgraded one with the AEM CAI and also changing to your injectors.
That is the only thing I am wanting from you right now.
I will order the injectors ASAP.

Well I installed the AEM with the base greddy map that you sent me and the AFR's go haywire.
I had spoken to mysql about this and he told me that I needed a separate calibration for the AEM since it changed.
If you say it should work I may go ahead and try it again this weekend but last time I tried it, the afr's were too high and the car was sputtering in idle and as soon as I got backi to the regular greddy intake it all went back to normal.
