Cobb AccessPORT Discussion

ok I am going to enroll from the email address I purchased the AP from and request that it be changed to the email we have had our last few conversation from. I will also be resending the dataloggs for the new map I'm requesting via my current email address.

Really. What is so hard about following directions?
You're banging on me for not working with you but you can't just answer 10 simple questions and attach your current calibration?
I've got hundreds of these things out there now. How do you expect me to keep track of scores of people with essentially the same data?

hey it isn't 1 of your 10 questions it's an addon 3 lines below the 10 questions give me a break man. I guess in this case everyone who didn't send a graphical datalogg you kicked back as well? not everyone has a datalogger

i get why you would be pissed at this, how trivial right???
but think of this... MM needs to keep very organized records of everything he's doing... with dozens upon dozens of people sending him hundreds of requests for thousands of different calibrations, and most of those people turning around next week and making a VE change, its utterly important that he have ALL the pertinent information.
that said, think of the time it would take him to organize all this info from random different forms of contact. it'd be impossible. the only solution is to MANDATE that it all comes in an email in standardized form that he can simply "save".
besides, if you just follow directions, its not hard, or a pain, or even much to ask for what he's offering. go try to see how much you'd pay else where to get tuned, AP or otherwise...

Well, guess what, there are 8 or 9 different series per model year with the same name.
What does "emboldened" mean to you? How about GIANT RED LETTERS?!?
You're killing me here.

Picture this scenario gong on 10 times a day. How would you feel if you were MM?
I think it's a simple request to make it easier on the customer, and easier on MM.
More efficiency and less time it takes to do this remapping for everybody.
Isn't that what everyone wants?
Simplistic efficiency!

ok this is going nowhere fast you guys don't know what i've done and how patient i've been. I was probably one of the first 20-30 ppl to order the AP and I'm still running stock maps. I've been very patient in not hounding jeff and it seems as if i would have done this a long time ago i would have known there was a problem.

Magic, regardless of how you feel or what did or didnt go as planned..... everyone understands where the two of you stand now, you know what jeff needs, he knows you know it.
so just send him the info and move on, its in your best interest as far as getting calibrations goes...

I believe emboldened means "in bold print". Drop me a PM with your email address and I'll forward you the email I sent that successfully got the ball rolling.
It took me a couple tries to get it right too, but it's worth it once the meaningful interactions start.

I have to vent for a second...
Why the F*@#%* doesn't the AP have a datalogging function, or the ability to datalog via laptop connection? Apparently, you can do this if you spend $$$$ on the street tuner software, but why can't it just log in the manager? They know how to do it, why not just release a damn update for us so we dont have to buy loggers on top of their expensive product?
I HATE having to spend more money when this damn thing costs so much $ already.
ok, venting done for now

your right i'm sorry I was going to be one of the first but I was informed I should just wait for the turbo kit and get it then. After some consideration I decided to go ahead and purchase the AP and learn it's functions before going FI.
does walking 8 miles to work and back cause my car is down in 95 degree weather with 90% hummidity qualify for patients. how bout in the pouring rain like today. Only to get in a uniform and bury soldiers killed in Iraq a hell hole I just left. I deal with more pressure on a daily basis than most any of you can fathom. I've been waiting for the past mth due to no fault of my own but the inability for a manfacture to produce a part that works for my car. not going into detail but I'm sick of having parts for my car that are not working to the ability I was informed in the beginning.
