Stage 1 installed yesterday. NA guys, dont expect a big bump. It just feels smoother through the gears. Though staying NA for now, Im happy with it. Not much to say performance wise. -Though would like some kick between 2500-6000rpms. Oh! -My ride is NA with RB Catback, RP HiFlo Cat, RevI Intake with AP(stage1).

doin' good - got a bunch more things to install when i have some time - new brakes, Kaaz 2-way LSD, Mazsport double-resonated mid-pipe, ignition, and CAI. i'm ordering the upgraded fuel pump and larger injectors as well.

since you're as modded as I am, I really wanna check out your AP when you get it. The maps you'll be using will be the same I'll use. Let me know!!!

not sure if it's been asked but how accurate are the performance functions i.e 0-60, 1/4?

As accurate as the speedo, so probably +/- 3%.

Can the AP also track live AFR's or is the hymee/harrison tool still required?

well i was just wondering in case for example i leave the stage 2 flash on full time but then i go fill up a tank of high octane fuel. would it be as simple as moving up to stage 3 while sticking to the same series it was in stage 2? (a, b, c...)

Say i fill up a tank of 93 or higher octane and im currently running the stage 2a tune perfectly fine. Would stage 3a work just fine too? or would the letter be different again?

Should be fine, but your best bet is to find the flash that provides the most power with your setup and leave it that way.
You will find that the performance of the car will get smoother and more powerful as the fuel trims normalize.
Every time you flash, you will be going back to zero on that, so why bother?

Yeah, it has a live equivalence ratio display.

So is this a worthwhile investment for tuning your NA RX-8, it seems like it. One question, is Hymee introducing something of the same nature, or this the best bang for buck at the moment. I was at first considering the Interceptor-X but this just seems a whole lot better and well cheaper. But I was thinking of holding out if Hymee is introducing also. It seems the concensus is the best mods for a NA RX8 would be this, the Mazsport ignition and the high flow cat, is there anything else? Am I mistaken about the highflow cat?

So does MM tune you maps according to what parts are in your engine. Do I send him a current dyno with parts posted? How are custom maps made? I just reading on both forums right now. Thanks.

He provides a range of maps that fit your model. They are broken down into "Stages" with a number of subversions. If your car is basically stock, then start with the Stage 1a map and observe your fuel trims.

He has mentioned that he will probably offer a subscription based service for personal tuning. You would need to log a number of engine parameters and send them over so he can analyze and customize a map for your application. I don't think he has set a price for this service, but I'm sure it will be very reasonable.

He won't give you access to the maps until you purchase an AP from him and receive it. Even then you can't see the different maps. You can only trust that he knows what he is doing and that he has created a map that will work for your car.

its reads air? air pressure? To run correctly on a turbo car it needs to know boost levels at RPM points.
