Are you asking if they'll work or if you should bother getting different stems?

My volks came with some metal valve stems, which was a nice little extra. I'd say it might be worth it if you're already investing a fair amount into the wheels themselves. Kind of like finishing the look. It really comes down to taste though... it's such a minor thing that some people wouldn't care to spend the money but others would. If it bugs you, do it before it's too late to change your mind.

more of the bother, I think the "aluminum" ones would be an eyesore.

and just cause I am pissed....WTF is up with my front suspension...all I wanna do it change the coilover which should be VERY simple....I just speny an hour trying to releive tension on the lower arm so I could get the lower strut bolt out and prior to that the tension in the arm poped out the lower ball joint...grrr

I am going to do some searching but if any of you have expierenced this tell me what my dumb *** is doing wrong. (and yes my wife and I both pushed down on it)

the rears took me like an hour.

The fronts are the easiest. You just remove the top bolts and lower bolt, the A arms bolts, and pull the bottom of the shocks towards you. Once you pull the A arm away from the chassis to get the shock assembly out you may need an extra pair of hands. Use a large zip tie to keep the A arm and hub assembly from hanging on the abs wire and brake line. The bolts may need a tap from a hammer to bang out. Spray all the bolts with a lubricant before reinstalling them.

that's what I thought, now that I am in there it appears the lower ball joint is shot, the boot is torn and the plastic "bushing" or what ever it is, is totally mangled. that allowed the lower arm to separate from the assembly and the tension was holding everything together (I saved the ABS though ": )

looks like a load of fun...I just wanted to change coilovers

You should have come by and did it here. I hurt my back but i could have supervised Check NAPA for ball joints. They carry MOOG parts and the main warehouse is here in SA.

so does the ball joint have to be pressed into the lower arm? basically should I take the hole hub assembly off to do it?

The whole lower control arm needs to be replaced, I don't believe it is a serviceable part.

But a lower control arm is about $100 used. Call www.partsgroup.com, www.mazmart.com, or http://www.revvinsevens.com/ (in texas).

That would be because most of us use the OEM tpms that comes with valve stems. They have never failed me are matt black and un obtrusive.

Dude just do yourself a favor and go pick up the used one and get that nice car of yours back on the road.

On another note.... things are looking rocky with the job again. The government is messing with the slot/position.

Cool, thanks...I am going to call mazda and see if this is covered under the recall (and what the turnaround time would be)

I am going to call mazda this morning, see a) turnaround time and b) how much the one at complete auto is.

I am not sure I want a used one with a 100k miles on it, of course how used is the one from mazmart its description say excellent but what does that "really" mean....lol

Leave the plastic covering on the bar as you fish it through to keep it from scratching.
