Are you keeping your NOS too, and what are you driving

I was hoping you still had the NOS, might have bought it I need to find a good paint/body shop first though. I hit a blown out tire on 90 before I left for Afghanistan. Did 2,000 worth of damage to the undertray and wheel wells, but got it fixed. I just have some black marks on the front bumper, with the usual wear and tear. If you know of anybody good, let me know.

Hoss-05's car should be done tomorrow. He got a full Mazdaspeed body kit and some custom paint work done at a shop myself and a few of us have used. Overall their work is pretty damn good. They have done near perfect work on a few of my bosses cars (mercedes', Porsches, Acuras, etc.) in the past and they did some good work for SWG, 8 maniac, jcabbie, and others. There were some flaws on Hoss-05's car the first time around but they warranty their work and will fix it until you are happy.

Although with Hoss-05's car they have been taking their sweet *** time so it better be perfect.

Instead of starting new thread i am posting here.

I just read an article and i want to see if it's true.

As no, my 8 is at trans shop getting tranny rebuilt.
should have it back tomorrow.

we were able to get my engine going smooth with good compression 1 rotor,
low / medium compression 2nd rotor.

if the 2nd rotor get's worse would it be possible to stop fuel supply to that rotor
and just run on 1 rotor?

A guy in another forum said that's what he did and on 1 rotor his 8 still got up to 85mph
just basically had no power and felt like a slow 4 cylinder.

any pro's or cons about doing this?

i actually am buying a 1994 Nissan 300zx twin turbo tomorrow as well.
356 horses.

Will get 8 back from trans shop and see how well engine does.

Yes yes it better be! Come on now.. .not a full Mazdaspeed kit.. I went with a different rear end! :P

Now if only my seats and suspension would arrive I would be a happy man... O yeah my second set of spacers shipped out as well.

Possible physically? Yes. Advised? No, it will completely **** up your motor. Dude you seriously need to read up on how a Rotary engine (or any gas engine for that matter) works. Go pull a couple of plugs wires on your motorcycle and see how well it runs.

Good luck working on that VG30DETT. I hope you have tiny arms and deep pockets.

Sweet, I'll get the details from ya when I get back in Feb. I'm still wanting the Shine Auto front bumper and sides, but we'll see. Just having the wear and tear cleaned up will be nice, but ultimately I would like to make some nice/clean mods. Sifu's was sick, and then NOS. I would be happy

That TT is a bitch to work on... You cant even see the ground.

NA is just as difficult but not as bad, took me a week to complete the 60k maintenance on that POS.

Looks like you bought a $10k 4 spd.

Hoss/9k if the 10mm project kics won't work out, I'd be interested in a pair

lol...

I am still making out good.
only $3,200 invested so far.

and it has a freshly rebuilt trans, including torque converter,
it runs and drives and went up to 73mph today according to them.

so i am still happy with my purchase.
worst case worst i pay another $2,500 to have motor rebuilt.

then id have a perfect 8 for $5,000 total.
can't beat that seeing how i was going to finance 1 with cloth interior
for close to $13,000

13k was a ripoff I'm sure and $2500 gets you a motor that MAY last. Those rebuilds are a shot in the dark and have parts that shouldn't have been reused.

I do have a pair of 10mm spacers but want another for when I run wider tires. I have 15mm in the back now and would need a pull for the tires I want.

a reliable rebuild from a reputable builder will cost around 4-5k plus your core

plus i would never pay 13k for a used 04 auto.....

I am actually in the market to pick up another 8 within the coming months to build my track car, I am actually setting aside about 10k for the car, engine and upgrading brakes and suspension.
