Keep the factory setup, just delete the VFAD and walls in the box if you want a "cool" sound.

And if you are thinking of a Turbo kit then you have a lot of reading to do because there are not many tuning options available. A custom kit would require a lot of time and money so do your homework. We can always use a welder so keep checking the boards and stop by when you can. I actually need a clutch pedal bracket welded

Look for the thread, it's a good drive and can be hard on the car depending on how your drive so if you are having problems I don't recommend it. But a stock 8 that is properly maintained can do it all day everyday. Just make sure you give it a good once over. I had my ride brake down a few trips ago do to a busted AC belt and it is not fun way out there

I just had my engine replaced with one with 19k miles. And all I have is a k&n typhoon intake, a header, a straight pipe, mazsport ignition, and the tb coolant bypass. You think I could hang? =) (everything else is purely cosmetic!)

K&N and mazsport ignition are less than optimal IMO

Honestly, even with all my mods I don't pull much in the twisties, all my power is up high. These types of runs are all about suspension, tires, and driving ability. I was very happy with my new suspension setup actually. I just need new tires. If I were you I would lose the K&N and the TB bypass is a useless mod. And only a couple of header designs that I know of have added any usable horsepower. I am thinking of getting the RB header but I'm not sure since I have lost my mind and I am thinking FI may be in my future.

We had some proper cars and proper drivers on this run. It was a blast!!

Cornholio, this was the thing I was talking about. It's made by Archos. It runs windows 7.

Atom Z510 1.1Ghz single core CPU.
1GB of memory (non upgradeable of course)
60GB HDD (well 55GB is the real number)
webcam
User replaceable battery
Single USB port

I found it for $375 shipped. They also make ones powered by the Android OS which would probably be faster but my Hymee and Cobb software will run on Windows 7. They also make a car mount for this.

He just got a set of R3 wheels. he is in Singapore so maybe they don't sell the R3 there so this is the only way he can do it

The R3 is sold in Singapore. I would like to know if that is a real R3 bumper or an aftermarket version designed for the S1 RX8.
