ok story goes,
Last night went to go see FF with my gf, as we were leaving the parking lot an SRT4 cuts me off and gets on the access road. I pass him up, he gets pissed downshifts and passes me, but almost loses control cuz he doesn't know how to shift. Gf tells him "dude, its still a neon", He replies "atleast i have a turbo and dont drive a granny car"
fast forward to biffs
we are sitting there conversing with Kevo and his wife, when 2 guys start checking out my 8. He starts in with what I got done to it, i go down the short list, and he states "thats funny cuz this looks like the one i beat last night" , I reply "OH you are the douchebags in the neon" we get into a little bit of a pissing match... "I have over 400hp" "that sucks for you cuz i have like 183hp and I passed you" His one armed buddy says " you should put your money where you mouth is and run it"... "I don't race like that, if you want to run the cars lets do it on a real track", one armed douchebag "oh yeah, what is your 1/4 mile time", me "are you serious? I mean a race track, like with twist and turns, not going in a straight line, where is the skill in that" lefty "i will run you, i have a 350z" me "dude i will embarrass you on the track, your car will over heat and your brakes will fail before it even does 5 laps " lefty "you dont know **** about cars" gf "why dont you just leave, you are boring me" neon driver "my granny owns a blue 8", me and gf " you granny is awesome" (wanted to say, well yeah you are mexican so your granny is like what in her mid 30's) (btw im mexican so i can make that crack LOL) lefty at gf "what do you drive" gf "that (pointing at her 8)" and they leave

Really? A Neon?
I've followed Grungepup, and Sillywhitegirl in the curves in my 8 (had trouble keeping up), and I've owned a pretty fast Stratus, but those playas in a Neon would've understeered into a boulder or tree.
Everytime I come to SA, I see this same street bravado. Maybe the water has too much testosterone in it.

But yes I read your thread, im jealous of your engine build. I feel like the only thing holding me back is this shitty reman I got dealt, my car feel slightly faster than my buddies almost stock 8, he only has a straight pipe and Turbo XS exhaust... It pisses me off

Driving? With gas this high? whew... cant man, but im trying to fly out since my father works for American Airlines. If you are heading out ill offer to be a co-driver but I just cant afford all the gas.
