Yeah, No rubbing issues at all. I'm still able to get up my driveway and many others. I could take more pix if you would like...

Well.... I was just asking because Peter, with the blue 8 that came to Mike's BBQ, ordered some and its coming in like 4 more days...

Also, what kinda tires do you have and how do they ride? Scared to go over bumps too fast? Cause I recalled you having 245/35/19 fronts and 275/30/19 rear right?

I'm in a dilemma with either getting 19's or the oem dark chrome.. We'll see how Peter's turns out.

I was doing a little photoshopping...

Whatcha think?

EDIT: Whats your offset too?

Oh pic 2 is sick!! Is that the time attacks? DO IT!!!! I beleive its a +34 offset. It just depends on how wide you want to go. 9.5 in the rear is kind of wide for some people. You're pretty low already. It's gonna rub on your 8 unless you get coilovers to keep the rear stiff so it won't travel up and down so much on bumps. I'm right at the fender now and I'm not as low as you. Heres an old pic

Talk to XDEEDUBBX about the offset and setup. He's got +34 offset with a 275 tire on them with no rubbing.

Sup all, sooooo for those that don't know.... My car was flooded on Friday around 2:00 or so. Worse day ever...! After the streets dried up, I got a tow truck to tow it to Don Ducote. Keith calls me up the next morning notifying me of the whereabouts but nothing can be further done until the insurance adjuster looks at the 8.

Now that I don't have my car, I have been seeing a lot of 8's.

PS: Roger played the **** out of me when he called me saying "Hi, this is Roger from AAA and I'm looking for Tony." Imma get you back!! haha

im so sorry to hear about that Tony, that really sucks..baton rouge was soo bad friday and it was flooded everywhere! but i had to go to school b/c i had a test and quiz and i seriously thought water was going to come into my car, i was screaming and looking down at my door waiting for water to come in, but luckily i made it there and back okay

BTW..i bought the new ICE claybar, well it sucks, the only thing it took off was the bugs, it didn't take any of the tar or sap off my car so i suggest not buying it..the ICE paste, or wax, was awesome..i didn't leave any white residue and left my car lookin shiny and smooth

That sucks Tony

Just when you least expect it....wham.

I did the same thing to my 91 300ZX. Nice cold air intake meets BIG puddle. Went about 10 feet and Wham. Dead Stop. Water running in my floorboard. Wife was NOT HAPPY.

On the good side, I had some friends help me push it out of the water (which was right in front of a Discount Auto Parts. Stripped off the intake and plugs. Cranked it dry. (Lots fo water shot out the plugs.) Changed the oil and plugs. Contact! Vroom. Sucker ran better than it had in years.

Don't think a rotary likes water quite that much though.

Now you worry me about the Revi I just bought. I didn't think we had that tight of a seal at the airbox. Infact we both have the stock airbox??

Good luck buddy.

Yeah, on the stock airbox I actually did the DIY and bought the quik plumb connector from lowes and that sucker is air tight... But that will change soon. (Revi Intake)

When I went to Ducote yesterday, they had taken my interior apart already so it doesn't smell. My K&N filter was blackened.. and my plugs were dripping.

I was thinking about buying the mazdaspeed clutch & flywheel since they are gonna have to look at the tranny and the motor already. Water got up to my hood so I hope my ecu didn't retain any water.

I was telling Keith to put some 2x4's under my wheel before putting it on the car lift because that thing doesn't clear my car for nothing!

Once my baby comes out, she'll be better than ever!

I use the Maguire's claybar and it seems to work fine. If you want to read up on products, go to autopia.org and check out their forums. That's where I read up on everything and I'm really happy with how things turn out when I detail the car.

From reading the forums there, I bought some Menzerna products, the Porter Cable DA buffer...heck...I even bought a 10x10 quikshade canopy (a 12x12 is too awkward to work with if you're doing it by yourself.
