461km with stock auto. this is the best i've got. normally around 400km. usually if i try to escape from rush hour, 400km is pretty easy to obtain. just curious, i wonder whats the FC for the 350Z.

Emperor: Lets change the title of this thread to: Best FC you got thread. Its more upbeat -- rather than having people whinging about poor gas mileage.
Let's change the prevalent perception of the car -- otherwise, the reputation of this car will always be: beautiful car but poor torque and poor gas mileage! Can't help our re-sale value.
Getting 8+km/litre seems more common thatn one thinks.

Manage to clock 490km on 55 litres.. rev above 4rpm on a daily basis... I love Shell 98.

Cruise: Not to dis your comments but i am not sure if the different brands of gas makes a huge diff. I have gone through the lot... you might get fractionally more with Shell (which I don't) but with the price differential, I think even SPC may workout the same. Btw. My favour of the month is Caltex! But I suspect its an imaginery difference. Since they all give me a range of 480 to 520kms pr tank. I also found out that even when the needle is right at the very last notch (way past yellow lights), you have about 5 litres left, much to my surprised.
The 8 is a natural anti-parents in law vehicle -- its too low down for them get into nevermind sit in! ;-)

Flavour of the month? hahahah... Pure Vanilly with Cream...
Whatever the case is ... its simply to share that the 8 is not as fuel hungry as some ppl would think... most often they would comment that its going ard 5.5 to 6km/l...
Reason why im going to Shell is simply of its proximity (200m).. and accumulating 1000points = $40 worth of petrol... Whats SPC offering?

I meant that the needle was at the last notch of the indicator. And i had to drive it for a while longer too to get to the nearest station. (I ran out of gas 10yrs ago once on AYE at 4am... and raining too. )
Anyway, I was surprised that when I did fill it back up again, it was only 58l. All this time I was expecting the car to die on me in the middle of the highway that late evening.
Well, besides the near anxeity attack, at least now I know that there is still quite a bit left in the tank.

Thats scary. I only ran out of gas once while wheeling a scrambler along serangoon when it was desserted. It did not have a fuel meter and i revs so hard that keeping mileage did not work.
I never ever let that happen again by keeping the tank at least 1/4 full.
