Century Sprint timing for 4AT?
#76
ok guys. i did a lot of runs and wasn't even able to get 1 video taken clearly, i wonder how our other members did it.
here's my result. with 16 inch wheels, i was able to get 8 seconds best and was not 6.
with 18 inch wheels the best i can get is seconds and 10 even with tiptronic.

theboy, thanks for doing all the runs to help us gather the data. It's also no surprise that 6+s is quite unbelievable for a NA 4AT, and even 8+s is quite an acheivement. Just curious what did you use to time your runs? And can you confirm that you use 3rd gear to reach 100km/h?
So far, we've learnt that the 4ATs get better timings by shifting slightly earlier on 1st gear and using 2nd gear to reach 100km/h. Shifting to 3rd gear takes a longer time to hit the century mark. Best NA 4AT time was 9.075s surprising with 19" rims and 9.772s on same car with 16" rims (repeated).
