ya bra I'm down for a meet and this time we should try and make sure lots of people meet up! I think colossus langley would be a great meet up place since it has a huge parking lot and I think there was a meet there a few years go. Just need to set up a time...if any your guys think of any other places just say so we all need to agree on a place to meet up just giving my thoughts on where to meet.

**** sorry to hear bra why dont you just take it to mazda and let them check it out would be easier that way, then they could see if you need a new engine or not

LOL my car is fully modded and will take some time to revert it back to stock.
also I believe that you have to pay for the compression test first. and then if there is a problem, with the engine then they replace it and return your money.

I called two mazda dealerships and they gave me 2 different quotes on the compression test. one said 110 + hours, and the other said $250... strange.

I wouldnt know what I would be looking for if I took your car for a ride bro but ya I got a MT myself...That doesnt make any sense on how 2 dealers are giving you different quotes! What dealerships you call? I got my rx8 from pitt meadows dealership West Coast Mazda they are pretty good from what I know you should give them a call and see what their prices are!

I think it has low compression because when warm and at idle it would sudden drop rpm and then go up again. Also I have a slight hesitation accelerating from stop. It may only be brief but I find it odd. Any ideas?

Do you pre-mix? I have never had any major problems with my engine but when I pre-mix I get a more steady RPM cold & hot.

@souhjah sure brah ill take a gandur at your exhaust dont really want a loud one just one that compliments our cars. My stock exhaust for my r3 is not bad just dont like how when I look into my tail pipes I can see my exhaust looks like just welded exhaust tips onto a exhaust doesnt really appeal to me. Plus the racing beat exhaust looks and sounds nice seen a few clips on youtube and I think the over all exhaust is bigger then my stock one.

On a side note I went to my dealer in pitt meadows asked the service guy if putting an after market exhaust would void any warrenty on my car? He said yes and no which made me a little bit pissed and that he said if putting the after market exhaust pulls any check engine light or causes any problems to the engine and what not its voided...to me I understand the reasoning but on the other hand dont know how it will pull and check engine light since the racing beat exhaust is a catback and hooks straight up to the stock cat but who knows really if it will pull any check engine lights on the dash thats why I'm asking for your guys opinion to see if anything like this will happen.

haha well i have a suggestion. if you worried about the warranty, i have a mazdaspeed single canister sport cat back system thats is in near new condition.
i had it for like a month on my car before i changed to the full exoticspeed exhuast. i wanted a more louder sound.

Does your MS muffler come with a 2 hole flange? Are you willing to sell the flange? (I will take it cut the flange and give the muffler back to you)...

Anyone else has a stock exhaust that I can take the flange off of?

Also, I'm down for a meeting if we get enough people.

No. A catback cannot possibly throw a CEL code. A midpipe can and usually does because there is an O2 sensor right after the cat to monitor particulates. The catback doesn't have any effect on the engine or it's subsystems.

Besides if you ever have an issue and you don't like the idea of sending your car to the dealer with an exhaust it's not hard to swap back to stock.

Also, I'm down for a meet Sundays are probably best for me. We should definitely do a cruise!
