@ kwescott, so what is the verdict on RX Z88M? Are you guys going to get the new car before the other 8 sells or after? oh and what happens to your license plate?

Yeah, Erica is worried about me getting a car that has a strong aftermarket culture. She knows I love the Subys, and that it would be difficulty, if not impossible to keep it stock. In some honesty, I would agree with her that it would be hard....
I was just throwing it out there. I did look at the Impreza WRX, but they start at 25 and are turbo'd....so big negatives on price, insurance on an AWD car with turbo is most likely more than what I'm paying on the 8...gas mileage is probably comparable to the 8.
the 2.5 rs seems like a reasonable car. I didn't know that they restyled the Impreza...I thought just the STi.

Subies have some of THE worst paint out there. RotaryRasp's best friend has a blue subie and he can't stop talking about what a piece of crap job they did on it.
he hangs out in the LAX thread from time to time, PM him.

Hey Keith, if you ever think about getting an Acura such as TSX (which is a VERY nice car), I can recommend Santa Monica Acura for you. There's a guy there named Brad who hooked up ALOT of my friends at church here in San Diego.
Lets see...
He matched a competitor's price of a Acura RSX down here and beat it by a few hundred bux... and gave my friend an amazing APR rate. I believe the SD dealership was going to give my friend around 7-8% APR, and he was able to get ~4% APR at Santa Monica Acura.
Make sure you're not just thinking about the base price, but APR rate as well.
I got a killer deal on my 8, but they jacked me up on APR.
Don't buy a car in SD... competition in LA is much more fierce, so you can get better deals there.

TSX is a beautiful car, would love to have it but know it is out of the price range we are looking.
Ford does have some really good incentives right now on 07's...as well as on the '08 Fusion.
I saw the Hyndai Sonata on the freeway...nothing special, but not what i had in my mind for a Hyndai product. Like Razz said earlier, they are cheaper cars, and have the 10 year warranty.
Verdict on RX Z88M, good news and bad news to report. I still have the car (take that as good or bad news depending on what side of the fence you sit).
Plates....I think I can "lose" one of my plates.....but plates have to go with the car. Casey lost his Renesis plates as well. I think he lost his front plate though
As far as timing...still don't know. There are still a couple of parts on the Snowfl8k that need to go prior to even considering it as a trade in. We haven't placed an Autotrader add for the white one yet...I was hoping to use the one add to get people who may be interested in the lower mileage and white paint on Erica's....I may just have to look at placing a seperate add.
Exhaust
Intake (if I can get my stock piece back from Spice Boy...at this point, I can't put the stock intake back in).
Rear Bumper
Strakes
PIE Ipod Adaptor
Carbon Fiber dash cover.

@ jedi.
I think both suby and mitsu have bad paint. Jessie complains about his paint as well.
I have always been happy with the paint on the Mazda. That would raise the Mazda 3 on the list....maybe if we could get an extended warranty? (and if I don't mod the car it should work for us).
My mom has a white 350z, and she is always complaining about yellowish spots appearing in her paint.

1500 cash back on an 07 Suby (which I prefer the styling on the 07 over the new front and rear of the 08), as well as 3.9% financing for 48 months. That would put the out the door price around 18k.

keith..... out of all the cars, i think the subaru is probubly your best choice... and heres why
1. you've always loved the wrx/sti.... even if its just an rs, the looks are basically the same
2. youll still have a "sporty" looking car
3. you'll feel better getting into a car you enjoy, rather than a plain jane commuter car... its still nice to have a car that looks nice.. i know when i see 2.5rs', i still look at em'
4. its plain enough to fly under the police radar without them labeling you as a kid racer
and no matter what i owned, it was nice to have it at least looking good.. (i,e lowered and wheels).. and i dont mean volks, but just like caseys slowbalt, it looks alot better lowered with some nice wheels, and im sure it makes it more pleasant to drive it... just like my protege5

my boss has turned over his cars all the time (via leasing) and has always kept his vanity plates... casey must've been too lazy to go to the dmv to transfer the plate for a small fee? if u want to keep the plates, it's very easy...
the ford fusion is a mid-size car, comparable to the accord. a base model might still be under $20k? not entirely sure...
did the buyer give a reason why they didn't take the car?

yeah, funny as hell Cesar....

car update. I heard from the buyer this morning by email. A family member passed and he hopes to get back to me after the weekend, after the funeral service.
The original plan was for him to get the car prior to my next car payment (12/21) as it would save me 700 bucks. Doesn't look like that will happen, but at least it was a legitimate reason and he is still interested in the car. Registration and car insurance are due mid January...I hope I can get things done before those bills are due.
Fusions have some rediculous incentives right now. Very affordable. They look ok, heck, the new Focus looks ok...just not my type of styling. That whole domestic look is trying to match up to Dodge...I'm not really into that angular boxy look. I am liking the asian styling right now...is why I would rather prefer a suby or lancer.
