As I was driving her to work today, I was really sad. I was thinking to myself...how do we work something out to keep this car.....
..I can only imagine how Erica feels, especially after telling her last night..."hey, someone is coming tomorrow to pick up the intake"...
I now know what Casey ment about the feelings he had about the car upon parting it out. It comes a point where you want to stop the bleeding and just rid of the car entirely.
Have some interest in the black 8 finally....may be parting her out as well to get down to the buyers selling price (which looks about 2300 below what I want for the car....so maybe wheels and the Racing Beat parts?).....hopefully will know more soon.
@ everyone...can someone repost Beagles pics so I can see them....I haven't seen any pics yet from the party or meet? I can't see his pics.

Be warned though, most people will reject your request if they don't recognize your name or if you don't normally play games they do.
A lot of the guys went through and cleared their list down to just a small group of friends because when we played forza all the time, we were adding tons of people to our list.
After a while, it's just annoying to be in the middle of a game and have people signing on constantly because everytime they do you get a pop-up.
Or, your playing a game and someone else sends you a note that says, "What's up?".
You feel rude if you don't answer, but it's a pain to stop the game you're playing in order to respond.
That being said, if you get Rockband or GH3, make sure to add me, if you get COD4, there are plenty of people to add.

I'm sure El Nerdo has plenty of info on that for you. I don't know much more than what I was told as a high school kid working at Carls Jr. One of my co-workers....one of those El Nerdo types...was involved. From what I remember, you give speeches and junk.
Maybe there is more to it than that, or maybe it is just one of those benevolent antelope of spined reindeer societies guys join. Dont know?
Do you know if they offer gamerpoints or achievements? If they do, I would recommend just getting those first initial ones...you know, like the ones you get for making it through the tutorial or first level. Definately avoid Toastmasters on Expert or Veteran level.

I had a friend who joined it several years ago. He said it was helpful because they teach you how to communicate your points better, without boring people in the process.
Some of their tips are obvious, like don't say "ugh" or "umm" when you're speaking to a crowd. Make eye contact. Speak clearly. But they go much more into detail than that. Plus you actually have to give speeches to the group. Then they evaluate your presentation.
Rant time/
Hopefully they teach people not to say "To make a long story short". That bugs me!
If you have to say "To make a long story short", guess what, it's too late. Your boring story is already too long, and you just extended it that much more by saying that lame phrase which is not going to make it any shorter. In fact, you're going to use that statement to start you internal timer all over again, and the rest of your boring story will be equally as long.
Here's a tip for everyone who wants to use the phrase "To make a long story short".
Just do it! Do tell me you're going to do it, just finish quickly and that's it.
/End Rant
Sorry, had to get that out. We have 4 employees in this office, and 2 of them use this all the time. When they say it, all I can think of in my mind is "TOO LATE", then I totally miss the rest of their story.
So, in conclusion, I think Toastmasters is a pretty good idea for people that want to communicate better.

and another FD3S bites the dust
today my friend took me for a ride in his absolutely beautiful 93 rx7(fully built showcar).... we went around a turn, lost control, slid forever on the sidewalk, hit huge bushes, making us end up sliding backwards, hit a telephone pole, and spun around 180 degrees and stopped...... hurt like hell, my back and neck are throbbing, he is fine (he had a sparco seat and 4-point harnesses)... the car is basically totalled... sad day

So Jessie must be the good luck king of 2007. (sarcasm)
Sorry to hear about the wreck. I know it is sad to see another FD get hit, but at least the people made it through okay. Being a little sore sucks, but you still have all your limbs.
And a car is just metal, glass, and rubber. . . .all are very easily replaced. ($$$, but easy)
It is the people inside the car that are important. Tell your friend I am sorry for his loss, but I am glad to hear the car took the damage instead of the people. (crumple zones FTW!)
