Thanks to all who came and made it a great evening of music and friends. I have to apologize for the horrible burgers....uhmm, I mean hockey pucks. I've never been so embarrassed about my BBQ as that night.....and extra apologies go out to those who actually ate the darn things and got sick....(Loren, Erica...anyone else?).
So, what is the consensus on Rock Band? Fun? Horrible? Let's have another Party? I really am interested to see the response.
Also, was it nice ot have Room 2 available with Guitar Hero 3....or would it be better to have a different type party game available in room2? For those who know about Fuzion Frenzy...would that have been a better option?
Pictures...I know Erica was taking lots of pictures, but I know she will be busy with her masters till Wednesay (when it is due).
Autocross Results. I was able to put up some good times and was able to pull out the win for the event, as well as for the season. I was very sad the last run...ran with the headlights on as this was the last run of the RX8....kinda a memorial tribute. It has been a blast the last two years in the 8. After driving the Snowfl8k...I now wish we had made that the race car, rather than mine. The Snowfl8k is just so much more responsive and agile...makes mine feel like a tank. I guess it is the weight difference between the GT and the Base model.
On to the Miata. I think we are picking it up on the 22nd. First event is in January for the new, 2008 season.

Speed has graciously offered up a co-drive opportunity in his Miata. I'm going to go with him on the 22nd to pick up the car, and then we have a couple of "shop" days lined up to do some prep on the car prior to our first event (which is the 12th of January I beleive).
Burger story. Came home after picking up Beagle's new mod...and fired up the BBQ. Pounded out about 12 patties from the pack of beef I picked up at Ralphs the previous night. The meat was horrible, greasy beyond belief, and full of those darn white chunks. I basically had an enormous grease fire the entire time I was trying to cook the darn things. I have no light on that side of the house, so I was using a flashlight to check the progress on the burgers. When I thought they were done...smacked some cheese on a couple and had Cesar take them inside. He warned me that they weren't cooked....to prove it to me, he cut one in half...sure 'nough...not cooked through. Had erica finish them up in the oven as I already had a new set of patties on the grill. The second batch didn't come out well either.
At least those Hotlink sausage things were awsome. Thanks to Loren for bringing those over....and to Sherry for the two ring sanwhiches which basically took the place of my awful raw burger-pucks.

sorry i missed the festivities this weekend...
i really wanted to go, but i was just too exhausted at the end of the week and couldn't get out of bed sat if my life depended on it... will try to make the 1/2008 meet
on a side-note, i started my 8 up this am for the first time since last meet. and, i dunno if it's cuz it's been parked outside all this time. but, 2 things. (1) it almost didn't start up- presumably due to a weak battery. (2) as i was driving to work, i noticed that the center console was making very noticeable creaking noises- the closest thing i can describe it is a "rope and pulley" sound. after the car warmed up and i drove it around a bit, the noise subsided a bit.
have any of u guys experienced this?
