@ Lesper....yeah, bumper came off fairly easy, it was getting the stock one back on without any of the OEM mounting hardware. I didn't know they had removed the wiring for the side markers...I thought they would have simply ziptied them back somewhere...but no, they removed them at the wire harness and must have thrown them away...cause they didn't give us back anything. So, right now, side markers are installed....but there is no bulb or light in them.
Took the side skirts off as well....was rather surprised to find what i did underneath them....but, we'll leave that for later as Erica is still upset about harvesting her car....which I totally understand. Snowfl8k is her baby and it is one of the first cars that she got to do what she wanted with. It is a sad day to see what you made be taken apart.
@Jedi....any mail yesterday?

Bugs me when they put wine on there, I worry it will kill the woot off, but we got lucky and there weren't many.
I know, that's what's scary.
If you're not counting names, that's fine, but it's funny that you changed taja's name to the Spanish word for "work" (even though you mis-spelled it in Spanish too.
)
You need to search more, but most companies block those type of sites, but there are plenty of websites that show "mountings".
Weather - Sections of the 18 closed due to rock slides. They will be closed for the duration of the storm.
Go here, http://cad.chp.ca.gov/ and select San Bernardino area, and click on weather conditions.
This is the CHP website, it's what the radio traffic reports are based on.
Currently very foggy, and poor visibility. If we go to the mountains tomorrow, we would be there around this time as well, so conditions might be similar. There is much less chance of rain though.

yeah it is... I did this to two cars now.
just look at the big picture Erica, your giving up something that you want for something that you want...
I gave up the RX-7 because as much as I loved her, she was a bitch and I was going no where with her. that and I was having so much fun auto crossing. I gave up the RX-8 because its time to start a family (soon) and I still get to auto cross with a faster car for less money.... like I said, giving up something I like for something else I want.
Jesse gave up his pretty FC for the evo. I know that was not easy, but the choice made sense. (though I still would have like to have seen that car hit the track rather then be a street car.)
look at the bright side, its not like you were forced to right? as hard as it is, its still a decision you made, give it a couple months, the sting goes away. also when your expecting that little bundle of joy, you wont even remember the RX-8.... Neither of you will.
on a related note, (I think I said this already, but here it goes anyways) people asked me when I sold my car if it was "painful"... not really.
it was harder to take the stuff off the car then it was to sell it. once the parts were off it was no longer "my car" it was just an RX-8.
It was more of a relief. once the car was sold I could then move on. I was freed of a huge financial responsibility that was becoming more and more of a problem. though we still have some monthly cost that need to be eliminated, we are now closer to the goal of having kids in the near future.

The origins of it are just as funny. I believe it started when Lesper4 moved from Rancho to Fontana. Fontana doesn't have quite the prestige as Rancho does...so he changed his location to "North Fontana".....
Cesar then changed his to something like "Fontana, but in the good part"...
...I then changed mine to "Fontana, but in the good part, close to Loren and Cesar".....
...the rest as they say, is internet history.
