hey keith at least ur car is drivable........between the two of us we have a complete 8, my trans works fine just the front end is fucked to all hell...........but hey keep me posted on the rotary meet for sb.............i wanna make it but i wont be able to go in my 8 for a little over a month..........so if u guys can give me an idea ahead of time when the next meet is, maybe a little courtesy pm.........id be down to go..........

hey everyone! just got back from taipei this pm and finally found a moment to logon and browse the site after no internet for a week. how've u guys been?

good to hear there's progress on keith's car, and also sorry to hear about the others- taja & stallion. has there been any word on whether Jun got his idling problem fixed yet and what the cause was? hope all of u get the remaining issues resolved/ fixed soon.

so, i went to taipei w/ my family & extended family to finally put my dad & auntie's ashes to rest in their respective family plots. not exactly a fun trip- but necessary, and we all made the best of it i guess... (i did finally get to go up to the top on the Taipei 101, world's tallest building, and wow, that thing is absolutely amazing.)

also seems like a lots been going on the past week. all the shootings, suicides, and madness. (is mercury in retrograde or what?) not only do we have a chimpanzee running a lost cause of a war in iraq that's bleeding us financially dry, there are so many spiritually empty/ depleted people wrongfully taking out their anger on their fellow citizens. <sigh> what is wrong w/ these guys?

and, oh yah. off-topic, but i was getting gas this evening and finally saw a STORMY BLUE MICA in person. and, wow- what a nice color i was in my beamer, but i still went over to say hi to the owner and told him about our web site and invited him to come to one of our meets. i tried to take a pix, but my camera phone kinda sucks. here's the best i could do.

but anyhoo. it's good to be back, and hope to see u guys really soon. hope everyone has a great sunday.

i dont know shazbot, but im pretty sure you dont wanna get into it with jedi..... he's a great driver! he's able to pretty much keep with keith and casey, which are the "top dogs" in my opinion when it comes to driver skill w/ an rx8 (except jason isley).....

dastallion... I understand you are upset with people talkin the **** they are. but if you come out with a statment like that, you are bound to get a hell of a reaction.

I know that stament was not directed at me in any way, but just for ***** and giggles I'd take you up on that offer, I will run you on any course , any mountain you want. RX-8 vs RX-8. (although I vote for a real track)

ah, ok... i saw a thread for the touge crash, but i didn't read it.

he seems to be taking the crash well, given his pose in the photo. but, i guess it still sucks to get bashed on on the site.

well, i am sorry to hear about the accident and hope he realizes that street racing is dangerous and that they are lucky no one was killed or injured. hope the car gets fixed and the lesson is learned.

that said, loved the cartoon/ comic strip... <LOL>

 

I drive that same road once a week. Everyone who lives near me know about the crash history on this road. As much as I always feel bad for anybody who wrecks their car, I have never once blamed it on the road or conditions.
The "Basic Speed Law" of California says ; Drive only as fast as the conditions permit.
Again, sorry to hear about your car. But when you 'CALL OUT' people on the internet, this is what you get.
