Yeah, lets play after tennis. Maybe we can get Casey to stay up late and play as well. Maybe Jessie would be interested in the #20 car (since it is orange)....but he gets home late and most people go to sleep by the time he gets home.

I'll assist you with the tune if your interested. You'll need about 100,000 credits to make it a S-class monster. Let me know if you need money, we can work something out in exchange for RX8's (Those are my cash cows).

Yes, it was. I'll have to send you the Forza 2 Tuning website address. It was the one Cesar posted about a month or so ago. It gives you a general setup to start with...and then you can fine tune from there. I had the starter tune on the car when we raced. It was obvious that the wing and bumpers needed to be pulled off given that a guy with no tune was killing us. I'm happy with the gearing and speed now, and I like that loose feeling going into turn 4...just a light lift and the right line and it does fine.

28 psi in the front tires, 27 in the rear.

The tuning site has more trouble shooting tips that may assist you. Tunes are custom though...it seems that I get a tune from someone else and it just doesn't work the same for me. You experienced the same thing when we raced. We had the same car, but driving habits made up the difference we saw as we went around the track.

You interested in playing around with some Regals. I found a guy who is selling like 20 different old skool skins on the Regal. Most of them are reasonably priced at 40/60,000 credits. Locked unfortunately or I could harvest most of the design for the Cobalts .....I think I'll send him a message and see if he is willing to swap old skool for new skool. That would greatly decrease my time in the paint room.

The only reason I selected the 48 car was that was the only one I haven't made. I bought it locked on the AH and figured why spend time redoing it when it is already up there. I have no knowledge of NASCAR....but have recently learned abit about the the drivers and their ranks.

24 is in the points lead (Cesar has reserved that car).....#99 is doing good, he's in 4th overall (this was before the Fontana race).

Regals....Yeah, do an Auction House (AH) search for Buick Regals and you'll find a couple of guys own that section of the AH. Marksly has about 15 or so up...all different and good prices. I have sent him a message to see if he would be interested in swapping unlocked designs.

I haven't yet done anything with a Regal, so I don't know how high those can go with all the performance mods. Maybe a U-999...I don't know.

Cobalts can't go beyond S-class...there just isn't enough parts to boost it to U-class. They are not quick off the line, but have a good top speed on the Speedway.

I would imagine selling skins on ebay would be frowned upon by forza...

I had a cousin, who was in middle school at the time....who was selling items from the PC game Diablo...on Ebay. He was making a LOT of money. I think the same could be found for World of Warcraft and those types of games. Whenever you have a game with the option of rare items...or personalized items...there is a market for real money. There will always be people with too much time on their hands...as well as those who want the unique items but don't want to invest the same amount of time to get them. This is where Ebay helps those two meet.

aaahhhh, how I miss Diablo II. Just as I was about to quit playing that game, I got on ebay and purchased 100 very rare 'Stone of Jordan' rings (heck, that might have been your cousin) for $9.95.
I then ran around everywhere giving them to n00bies; it was hilarious to see their reaction when I handed it to them.

World of Warcraft gold sales are insane! I remember reading an article on it a while back that people were paying HUNDREDS of dollars for gold.

just report them to Lucas Film Ltd or something... i think that technically-speaking, it's piracy, because it's illegal to try to sell or profit off copyrighted images and pre-fabricated artwork that are owned by someone else without their written consent.

I think he thought of that.
If you read the auction description, he says he's selling his "time". You're paying him the "time" it takes to be added to his friends list, and for him to gift you the car. You're not actually paying for the cars. The design on the car is irrelavant.
It's a loophole. Just like selling $10 items on ebay and charging $25 for S/H so ebay doesn't get a big chunk of your profit.
If they were smarter, they'd sell the car's for $1 and charge S/H of $4 for the handling time on xbox live.

the selling and listing fees are the same for $.01 - $9.99 If I remember right.

ok guys, Saturday is my dads anual "big race event" every year he sponsors a race (or how ever you want to call it), at the Orange Show. we will be giving away T-Shirts at the front gate for a donation to the Ronald McDonald house of Loma Linda.

If any of you are interested in going to the race I have free tickets for you! Please just let me know.

If any of you are interested in helping us give away the shirts, please let me know BY tomorrow morning.

More details:

Gates open at 5:00
Racing starts at 7:00

The classes that are running:

ASA Super Late Model (This is what My dad use to drive. 450h.p. V-8s, 3200 pounds. in the stands you can tell these apart from the pro 4's below by the power, sound, and the bigger wheels)

ASA Pro 4's (these are some pretty wicked 4 bangers, 300 h.p. I quess 2400 pounds, very close in speed the the late models above, you can tell them apart by the higher exhaust note and the smaller wheels)

ASA Factory Fours (stock 4 banger beaters)

Stockcar USA (No Idea)

Mini Stock (little miniture cars... like go karts)

Demolition Derby (you know what that is!!!)

oh yeah, also... The RX-8 is still at the dealer. I took it is last Tuesday, Wednesday afternoon they called to say that they could not get it to grind. when I called back 10 minutes later they said it did.

Then Friday they said they called Mazda and Mazda wants them to pull it apart. (the tranny)

at this point I think no news is good news.

I'll let you all know more when I know more.

as for the meet Saturday, what do yalll want to do? I know you are all wanting to do a beach run, (which I think would be cool). but if you do a beach run I wont be able to do since I will be helping my dad durng the day. (say 1:00ish) and I highly doubt we would be back by then.

anyways, just curious, I know you guys waned to do a beach run, I just wanted to have a game plan before hand so it was not last minute.

(Also, I dont even know if I will have the RX-8 or the cobalt for the meet at this point)

I say make the drive towards the races. That way if anybody wants to attend the race . . they can.
Ya, I love the beach too, but for me the meet is more about the cars than the location. So a car meet driving to the races . . . . that is a good car Saturday.

What if the meet was later in the day so people that want to go to the races can drive straight to the Orange Show after the drive?

Just a thought.
