Kwescott, DUDE, I cant get the front to go down on my car. I dont know if I am just being a dork about it and its not really "to" high, or what. but I swear its like a 4x4 with these stock springs. I tried the pre load thing, and I still cant seem to get it to go down. it looks horable!

Speed....go back and look at stock pics of your car. I'm sure it is just what Loren has said....you had the most drastic drop I've ever seen on an 8...going back to stock from that has just got to be impossible for you to get adjusted to.
Have you been driving the 8 much? Are you getting any noise from the suspension....?
yes i am ( hangs head in shame) but i would not be able to park
in the under ground parking if i went down an inch. i'm already scraping
the ground going in and out. and thats in the middle of the car..
people would use me for a see saw if i got stuck in my drive way...

But then . . .
Some guy who lives around here has a white one that is LOWered. I mean LOW!!! And it looked so good, now I gotta do it.
Plus I do have the luxury of a second car in the garage if I need it, Stephs MR2. And since she works 3 miles from home . . . "daily drivin" aint so bad and she don't mind tradin cars for the day.

I daily drove my RX-8 for 2 years. and you all know how low I was. the ride was fine, you have to remember the spring rates on these springs are all the freakin same. (see my spring thread). the ride did not get harsh untill I put the konis on.
the only problem was the scraping. but again I did it for two years, you just learn what driveways to stay away from.
If your going with something like the Tein springs. (pretty much anything other then sprints) then I would REALLY not worry about it. the drop is NOT significant enough to worry about scraping.

just curious when i get back into things...when you buy aftermarket springs, doesnt it wear the stock struts out quicker? if one was to go with new struts which ones wouddl pair nicely with the s-techs?
