u guys need to be careful though, seriously.

it's just not worth it getting sick or risking your health just for a dyno pull, as fun as it is.

it was HOTTER then we made it look. My eyeballs seriously felt like they were on fire. Not because of the heat necessarily but just how gas rich the fumes were.

Hence why Cesar and I had our shades on at 10:30 pm

i saw an entourage of BMW manufacturer plate cars on the road this am.

there were a bunch of new cars, but the only 2 that caught my eye were the new X6 and M3 coupe.

UPDATE
ok as you all know there was some things going wrong with my car. Well the extended warranty people sent out an inspector who knew nothing about the RX8 but he said in his report that it was a misfire so after all this they are not replacing the motor and it cost me about 1000 with the rental. So now I get a call from the dealership saying that he talked to a few RX8 guys and they said its a Warped APEX seal what ever that is. I dont know if it is bad or not. Anyway he calls the warranty people back and tells them what he thinks it is. So they tell him that they want them to open the motor up and show proof, if they do that and that is the cause then they will give me a new motor and pay me back the money. However its going to cost me about up to 2300 to have the dealership do it and put it back together. Now I will have to pay this out of pocket if it is not an apex seal but if it is then they pay that back as well. So what would any of you guys do here. I am not liking the extended warranty people but also thinking about getting rid of the girl just because she is getting expensive. I love that car so much and really want to keep her but dont make enough to pay all this money now that I am past my manufacturer warranty. Any ideas, also what the heck is an APEX seal????

the apex seal is what is on the tip of the rotor as it goes around the rotor housing.

well its not sounding right and there is a little loss in power. Also it makes like a clicking noise when I accelerate hard is that something that would be from the apex seal and what would you do if you were in my shoes? I dont want to have to get rid of my car but I also dont have up to 2300 that I can spend.

if an apex seal went, you'd have a lot more then "a little loss of power"

clicking could be a misfire. Ignition coils are prone to going out on our cars. Easy fix, usually under warranty. Our ignition coils are the equivilant of a distributor on a normal car.

well they have checked all that and replaced it several times. and still the same problem. to describe it I would say its like the rotor it hitting something inside like its wobbling when I accelerate hard and there is a chirping type of noise at normal idle or cruising speeds. I dont know what to do part of me just wants to get a new car then the other half loves this car and I have put a lot of money into her so I am at a loss of what to do. Thanks everyone for their help

Jerome, what have you done to your car that would void your extended warranty? If you can, return your car to stock before you have them do anything else. If your car is stock, and they find something wrong, they can't put the blame on "aftermarket" parts.

I had too many things done to my car when my transmission went, so my extended warranty was worth nothing....sounds like you may be in the same spot as me if you have stuff done to your car.

Things to be aware of with your extended warranty:
intake
exhaust
different sized wheels and/or tires
pulleys

I know you have the AT, so I can't imagine that you've done anything with your clutch or flywheel

But, if any of the above have been done to your car, return it to stock....then have them do the work on your car....if the dealership is stating the cause of the failure, they should be able to work something out with your extended warranty company.

Do some searching, see if any of the other AT guys are having the problems you are experiencing.

I know you had expressed interest in Forced Induction....have you already done this and this may be the reason for your troubles...?
