Forza 3 question-

I'm probably going to Gamestop today to order Forza and COD6.

Are there different options for pre-order?
If so, what are the advantages?

I expect to give it back to you so you can trade it in. I've been very careful w/ the disc and the case.
Also, I would suggest trading it in about 1 week early. I talked to a friend that worked at Gamestop.
He said they'll drop the trade-in value on COD:W@W a few days before the new version is released.

The release has changed from the 22nd to the 27th. It will hit store shelves in England and Australia on the 23rd/24th.

I will most likely be getting the Gamestop preorder as this is the game I have played the shiny side of the cd off of since it's release. I definately have received my 60 bucks worth out of Forza 2.

 

is it woth it to buy the special edition (for me) or shall i buy the standard. so i shodul trade in FMS3 a week or two before as well?

 

For you guys, I think the regular edition would be best, you don't play as often as I do to really need the additional cars that are going to be provided. I think there were car packs fro FM2 that you didn't get. For me, I needed those cars to set some top leaderboard times....but for multiplayer game play, the cars you had worked fine.

I won't be trading in FM2 for 3, as I would like to keep my library of paints and tunes in the case that some of the numbers and settings can be used to start setting up cars in the new game. I doubt that this will work though, as they have updated the physics engine to include some factors not included in 2, so I assume my settings will get cars close, but not perfect.


plus, if I ever get bored, I can always play some fm2 career mode to see if I can get into the top 20. The leaderboards are down so often right now, I haven't been able to check where I'm at. Last I checked, I think I was at 26.

Don't know about you, but that limited edition looks awesome.
I play Forza way less then you do, and I'm definitely buying the limited edition.
I'm really looking forward to this game, although I don't know how much time I'll actually get to play it once the new COD is out.

I know the limited edition is $20 more, but I like the extra perks

As far as trading, I definitely recommend trading any game, that has a new version
coming out, about a week before the new one hits. That way you'll get the maximum value.

 

the only thing I would be nervous about with trying to figure out the timing of your trade ins, was that the release date for Forza 2 was delayed significantly...and while I am trying to remain optimistic about Forza 3, the release date may change and you would be without the beloved FM2 for longer than maybe you would want.

...at this point though, I'm not playing much FM2 during the week as I have other games. I am only playing on Mondays with you guys.

 

I will take the gamble for you all and trade in the games 10 days early. Besides I still have Dark Space that iI need to sit down and finish.

I wouldn't waste your time. I went into Gamestop last weekend and checked. It is less than 5 dollar trade in value right now...reasons, the game has been out for several years and there are tons of copies as it was provided as a free game to entice new buyers to purchase a 360 Pro. The game will not have much value now, or at 10 days prior to release of FM3.

 

only $5 for trade-in? Ouch.
Anyone pick up that new Batman game? I played the PC demo, looked pretty good. (graphics were really good)
