considering what the rx8 gets that is good.
So i got a good photoshoot coming up for my 8 (kind of). I am going to Yosemite in my 8 with my sisiter for the weekend with some friends.

So it looks like if I sell the 8, I am gonna pick up a GXL FC and start making it what I want. I refuse to strip the 8, so I need something I can play with that is not still under warranty.
If all goes as planned, I will end up with an MR2 as the commuter. (Aw11 first gen - 4A-GE FTW!!) and an FC that will be a stripped, noisy, ugly car with great performance

-turbo drivetrain is alot beefier/stronger... na trannys are weak
-the amount of money you will spend just to get the NA motor to as close hp as a stock turboII will double the cost just to have bought a turbo in the beginning.. and the turbo has alot of easy HP to be had for very cheap
we usually get around 10-15 cars monthly... usually
The Millenia S, the one with the Miller Cycle?
M3 and M5 for sure have quad exhausts. That is of course if you're talking strictly about the current generations.

i think luxury cars sell so well cuz ppl realize that they like being comfortable if they're going to be sitting in **** traffic all the time around so cali..
and, with the dirt cheap leasing plans these days, every grandma and high school kid can put around in a german or japanese luxury car. so, why the heck not? LOL
michael> the mazda millenia is like over 12 years old, isn't it? honestly, anything over 10 years old is pushing it for being a commuter car- unless u know for a fact that all the maintenance on the car has been done. you're better off just picking up one of the new crop of luxury cars instead. even a nicely equipped accord is fairly comfortable and going to have fewer problems than something that old, imo...
jake> i know u work in the industry and probably can afford it, but changing cars more than 2x's per year still seems a bit excessive to me. also, turning in your 8, a car you bought new and know that's reliable, in exchange for a 20 year old FC just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. if u want a project car, then i guess that's fine. just be prepared to deal w/ all the problems and spending more time in the garage than on the road. i know it can be very fun & rewarding re-building/ tuning an old car. but at the end of the day, nothing beats a reliable, drivable car that actually starts and actually gets u wherever u want to go and back home safely- period.
saturday> well, i haven't seen u guys in a long-o-time-o, or so it feels like. i will come out to the meet this saturday if everyone's going to show up. otherwise, i guess i will try to see u guys at SS if i can wake up. :P

i have all the service records, and it's a 2001 with 69600 miles on it.
13 more then my 8 which is only four years old.
plus i did not get it for sitting in traffic i got it cause my butt said
these roads are killing me, get me a smoother ride or there
will be pain to pay. and i only paid $4500 for a miller cycle
supercharged millenia s. used car lots still wanted almost 9 grand.
heck the turbo protege that we saw in vegas is still going for
11 grand and it's a 2003.. that would have been nice

putting it bluntly, just get your *** up and over to SS this year!!
i dont think i will be going to the meet this month since we have SS in two weeks, i have to wax/clay my car in one week and this weekend i have to lay some cement. and as soon as i get my lights and speakers i have to install them.

My choices were Saturday or Sunday. And Sunday is Rockband 2 day, so I'll be playing that all day Sunday.
What lights?, what speakers?
I haven't looked at your stereo setup.
Have you got all the info you need regarding connecting the OEM stereo to aftermarket stuff?
I assume you've talked to Jedi, right?
Also, replacing the door speakers can be kind of tricky. At least mine were.
I used MDF wood to make a new attachment for the area the stock speakers went so I could mount the JL speakers in the door.

i would highly recommend getting a turboII over a GXL! ive had plenty of both, and the differences are just too big to ever go backwards agian... and s4 turbos usually go for 1-2k more than their na bothers... so the cost isnt too far out there

Some how, these 2 statements don't go together.
The night before Sevenstock, I always have trouble falling asleep because of the excitement of the next morning.
I usually end up leaving earlier than planned because I can't wait to get there.
The 3 that I've been to, I've volunteered. Very tempted to volunteer again this year.
It's a blast for me, and I can't imagine sleeping in that day.
