So far, yes.
The choices for me are;
A) Join the Cerritos caravan (it's only 30mins out of my way) would be kind of fun to go w/ a huge group.
I can mount the video camera on the sticky pod and record the drive.
B) Volunteer. It's nice because you can park in the lot early, and you don't have to wait in line to get in.
Plus, you're only working until the parking is done, then you're free to go.
C) Go crazy early and avoid getting stuck near the end of the line.
Problem is, you don't get to park where you want. You park in the first available spot.

D. Go early enoguh to get a nice spot in line and then go see cars and coffe and hope there is a bugati, careera gt, micraglo (superlegera), noble or ariel atom there and then go to the big show.
yes.
you're going to miss most of the fun that comes with showing up early @ SS.
The cruise in with all your friends, the staging area pics, meeting up with friends before everyone gets parked and scatters for the day.
I honestly have tons of fun in the morning, it's one of the best parts of SS. Once we all get into the lot, people seperate into their groups and you could go the whole day without seeing the same person again.

your 2nd gen gonna look like this? http://www.snyper.net/RX-7/
This is the longest I have ever held on to a car. I normally change cars twice a year. But I really wanted the RX8, so I did what I had to to get one. It is not that the luster has worn off, but it is time to move on. And since I am a huge rotary fan, I want another RX. The FD's are way too expensive and hard to mantain, the FB's do not have all the goodies I am looking for. (IRS, Disks etc) So it looks like if I sell the 8, I am gonna pick up a GXL FC and start making it what I want. I refuse to strip the 8, so I need something I can play with that is not still under warranty.
If all goes as planned, I will end up with an MR2 as the commuter. (Aw11 first gen - 4A-GE FTW!!) and an FC that will be a stripped, noisy, ugly car with great performance

I would rather have my RX8 then a 'stripped, noisy, ugly car with great performance'
You have had the 8 for a while though so I can't say I'm surprised. I remember talking to you a while back about how quickly you go through cars.
